Glass will end his playing career following the 2018-19 campaign.
Glass spent the 2018-19 season playing in France for Bordeaux, where he tallied 17 points in 43 appearances. Over the course of his NHL career, the 35-year-old winger tallied 24 goals, 45 assists and 658 PIM in 527 contests for the Panthers, Canucks, Jets, Penguins, Rangers and Flames.

Glass marked zero points, 35 hits and 19 PIM in 16 games.
It's not unusual for a lifetime bottom-six player to struggle on the stat sheet, especially since Glass logged 9:23 of ice time per game. Further, when Glass was recalled to the NHL, he was a healthy scratch 18 times. The 34-year-old winger instead spent more time with AHL Stockton, where he accrued two goals, five points and 45 PIM in 21 games. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and a team looking for a bruiser will likely take the bait, but he's far from a fantasy asset.

Flames' Tanner Glass: Moves to NHL
Glass was recalled from AHL Stockton on Saturday, Aaron Vickers of NHL.com reports.
In Glass's prime years, he was a must-have for fantasy owners involved in leagues with a heavy emphasis on scoring hits. The Regina native's recording of four 200-plus hit campaigns is Exhibit A to that point, but he's been held without a point through seven NHL games this season to remain a one-dimensional forward option. You can ignore Glass, as he's a fragile fantasy commodity at best.

Flames' Tanner Glass: Headed to AHL
Glass cleared waivers and was assigned to AHL Stockton on Tuesday, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Sun reports.
Considering he has no points in seven games this season, it's not particularly shocking that Glass was left unclaimed on waivers. The career journeyman will likely only see a recall in the wake of an injury to one of Calgary's core, but even then he'll hold the most minimal fantasy value.

Glass had been barely playing for the Flames, so this isn't surprising news. Last year, he only played in 11 games for the Rangers, so it appears that his career could be in jeopardy.

The signing of Glass provides good bottom-six depth for Calgary and he will be a welcome addition to its checking line this season. In the fantasy realm, however, this move means very little, as the veteran journeyman's career high in scoring came back in 2011 when he posted a mere 16 points.

Glass spent the majority of the 2016-17 campaign with New York's AHL affiliate, but he also cracked the Rangers' lineup on a few occasions, notching two points in 11 regular-season games. The 33-year-old grinder is nothing more than an organizational depth option for NHL clubs at this stage in his career, so even if he's able to land a contract with the Flames, he'll likely spend most of the 2017-18 season in the minors.

Glass racked up two assists and dished out seven hits in Thursday's Game 4 win over the Senators.
Glass isn't known for his offense, but he's notched four points in the five playoff games he's appeared in. Depth players make all the difference in the playoffs, so it's great for New York that it's able to get production from the fourth line. It's hard to see Glass continuing to produce at this pace if he remains in the lineup, but he'll bring physicality, in addition to the occasional offensive contribution.

Rangers' Tanner Glass: Scores winning tally in Game 1
Glass scored an unassisted goal in the first period of Wednesday's Game 1 win over Montreal.
After spending the majority of the season in the AHL, Glass was an unexpected hero in Game 1 for the Blueshirts. The gritty winger pulled in a loose puck off an offensive-zone faceoff and slung a nifty backhander over Carey Price's glove. Don't expect to see many more scoresheet appearances from Glass, and he's also a risk to be a healthy scratch if the Rangers decide to dress a lineup with more speed and skill. However, his opportunistic goal might also give him a longer leash. Regardless, he's a low-end fantasy option.

Glass scored his first goal of the year and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over Florida.
That's well and good, but there's no reason to look for continued offensive production from Glass, a veteran enforcer who has just 15 points in 57 AHL games this season. He could provide a short-term boost of PIM and hits as long as he sticks around in the lineup, though.

Sunday marks the first time Glass has been rostered by the Rangers this season, as he's played 57 games with the Wolf Pack. He tallied just 15 points over that span, but will likely just be used as an enforcer, having consistently amassed penalty minutes at every level. Other than that, he doesn't provide much fantasy utility.

Glass was waived by the Rangers on Friday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. He'll likely report to AHL Hartford upon clearing waivers.
It seems unlikely that another team will make a play for Glass, as enforcers are not as valued as they once were. In a somewhat surprising move, both he and Nathan Gerbe were sent down, a move that should clear space on the Rangers' roster for highly touted prospect Pavel Buchnevich.

Glass is battling Nathan Gerbe for the final forward spot on the Rangers' roster, The Journal News reports.
A tough guy who's played in a part-time role for the Rangers over the last two seasons, Glass offers almost nothing offensively and isn't a particularly good skater or defender -- his fantasy value is restricted to hits and PIM. It seems likely the Rangers will prefer the scoring punch of Gerbe and ticket Glass for AHL Hartford; as the league continues slowly eradicating enforcers, the veteran may find himself riding the bus back and forth between Hartford and Broadway this year.

Glass dished out an assist as well as 10 hits in Wednesday's 2-1 road win against the Ducks.
After a game out of action, Glass was his best self in this one, recording his first helper since Feb. 10 to go with his second double-digit hits of the year. If hits and PIM are what you're after, Glass can help, but his bottom-tier minutes and extremely marginal offensive ability mean that's all you'll get.

The Rangers will be happy to have Glass back in the lineup, but his return won't mean much to fantasy owners, as the veteran winger shouldn't be owned in the vast majority of fantasy leagues.
