Dustin Jeffrey: Heading overseas
Jeffrey signed a two-year contract with Lausanne HC of the Swiss League.
Jeffrey was acquired by the Penguins along with some prospects at the trade deadline, but was never able to crack the starting lineup and was mostly overlooked by fans and the organization. Originally drafted by Pittsburgh in 2007, this second stint with the team was equally unimpressive as the first.

Penguins' Dustin Jeffrey: Back with Penguins
Jeffrey was traded to the Penguins on Monday along with forward Dan O'Donoghue and blueliner James Melindy. In return, the Coyotes received forward Matia Marcantuoni.
Jeffrey averaged more than a point per game for AHL Springfield this season, ranking 10th in the league in combined goals and assists. This will be his second go-around with Pittsburgh, as the Pens drafted him in the sixth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, only to bounce him between the parent club and minor-league affiliate from 2007-14. Don't be fooled by his success in the minors as Jeffrey's been limited to just 33 points in 131 NHL games between the Pens, Stars and 'Yotes.

Jeffrey picked up a goal and two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Senators.
Jeffrey had a productive game in limited action (9:06 TOI), netting his first goal as a member of the 'Yotes. Having entered the NHL in 2007, he has yet to carve out a stable role in the NHL despite tours with the Penguins, Stars and Coyotes, respectively. However, Jeffrey should be raising eyebrows this campaign based on a plus-4 rating and a pair of points through four contests.
