Colby Robak: Released from training camp
Robak was let go Monday by the Flames following his tryout.
Robak, selected 46th overall in the 2008 NHL Draft, has not suited up for an NHL game since the 2014-15 campaign in which he made 12 appearances split between the Ducks and the Panthers. Last year with AHL Rochester, the blueliner tallied five goals and 15 helpers, but was a minus-17, which was likely a concern for Calgary and should be a red flag for fantasy owners if he find himself a new home.

Flames' Colby Robak: Signs PTO with Flames on Wednesday
Robak inked a professional tryout agreement with Calgary on Friday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet reports.
Robak spent the last two seasons in the AHL and has never made a name for himself at the NHL level, totaling only four points over 47 games. The puck-moving defenseman brings above average hockey intelligence and at six-foot-three and 194 pounds he brings an imposing presence to Calgary's team of rearguards. However, his lack of a proven track record inhibits his ability to land any sort of featured role and would likely be limited to a spot deep on the defensive depth chart if he gets signed longterm.
