Paul Postma: Bound for Russia
Postma agreed to terms with Ak Bars (KHL) on a one-year deal Wednesday, Igor Eronko of Sport-Express reports.
Postma saw action in just 14 games last season for the Bruins, spending the bulk of the campaign watching from the press box. Selected by the Thrashers (Jets) in the seventh round of the 2007 NHL Draft, the defenseman has logged 205 games in which he tallied 10 goals and 25 helpers. At 29 years of age, it seems unlikely the Alberta native will find his way back to North America before his career comes to a close.

Paul Postma: To be cut loose by B's
Postma will not have a chance to re-sign with the Bruins, Kevin Paul Dupont of The Boston Globe reports.
Postma only appeared in 14 games for the Bruins this past season, and a single assist represented his point total over that span. The right-shooting defenseman should catch on elsewhere as a depth option, but the 29-year-old's fantasy impact figures to be modest, even if he does carve out a role at the NHL level. To date, he's logged 10 goals and 35 points though 205 career NHL contests.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Laces up for just 14 games
Postma had an assist in 14 games during 2017-18, averaging 10:13 of ice time while putting 14 shots on goal.
After playing 65 games for Winnipeg in 2016-17, Postma has to be disappointed with his decreased usage, and he just appeared in two games after the New Year. The 29-year-old seemed to be stuck on the fringe between the NHL and minors, as he posted a strong nine points (one goal, eight assists) in 13 games for AHL Providence while putting up a plus-three rating, but just couldn't crack the roster for a consistent spot on the third pairing. Since Postma is set to be an unrestricted free agent, perhaps he'll test the open market and try to find a concrete role on a different defensive corps.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Sent to AHL
The Bruins have assigned Postma to AHL Providence.
In 14 contests with Boston this season, Postma has logged just one assist. With Providence, however, the 29-year-old has recorded six helpers in as many games. Postma is a candidate for another recall down the stretch run, but at the NHL level, his fantasy upside is limited.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Back with big club
Postma was recalled by the Bruins on Tuesday.
Postma is back up with the big club to provide the team's banged-up blue-line corps with some added depth in advance of Wednesday's contest against the Blues. With just one assist in 12 games for Boston to date, Postma is off the fantasy radar, however.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Reassigned to minors
Postma was returned to AHL Providence on Friday.
The 29-year-old defenseman is nothing but organizational depth at this juncture.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Recalled from AHL
The Bruins have recalled Postma from AHL Providence on emergency basis.
It remains to be seen if Postma will suit up Thursday against the Panthers, but he'll give the B's some added blue line depth with both Zdeno Chara and Torey Krug dealing with unspecified injuries. In 12 games with the big club this season, Postma has logged one assist. Meanwhile, with Providence, the 29-year-old has recorded five helpers in as many contests.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Waived by Boston
Postma was sent to waivers Sunday by Boston, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
With Boston signing Brian Gionta and acquiring Rick Nash, someone had to be the odd man out on the roster, and Postma was unfortunately the selection. The 29-year-old hasn't played in a game since Dec. 14, but has spent the majority of his time in the NHL since 2014-15, and could draw interest from teams lacking defensive depth.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Limited production this season
Postma has recorded one assist and two PIM in 12 games this season.
Postma, who last suited up Dec. 13, currently slots in as the Bruins' eighth defenseman and as a result he's off the fantasy radar, with the team's back line corps currently in good health. Down the road when injuries hit, however, he's an experienced option for the team to turn to. The 28-year-old has 203 career regular-season NHL games under his belt.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Scratched Saturday
Postma was a healthy scratch for Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers.
Postma has been struggling to find time on the ice lately as he's only suited up for six of Boston's last 18 games, averaging a mere 8:50 of ice time in those contests. The 28-year-old did consistently contribute for Winnipeg in 2016-17 notching 14 points (one goal, 13 assists) in 65 games, but unless injuries arise, it doesn't appear Postma is a large part of Boston's blueline plans this season.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Sitting Monday
Postma will be a healthy scratch for Monday's tilt with Minnesota.
The former Jet's run of six straight games will come to an end Monday, as the recently recalled Rob O'Gara is set to replace Postma in the lineup. Postma was brought in by GM Don Sweeney in the offseason to provide the B's a seventh defenseman with some experience and power-play acumen, but he's unlikely to be a reliable fantasy play this year.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Made a scratch Thursday
Postma was scratched for Thursday's 4-3 season-opening win over the Predators.
Postma brings 191 games worth of NHL experience to the table, but he profiles as the Bruins' spare blueliner these days and will only draw into the team's lineup when injuries hit.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Notches goal Thursday
Postma tied Thursday's 2-1 preseason win in the third period when his well-placed slap shot from the point eluded Flyers goalie Alex Lyon.
Postma, who logged 14 points in 65 games for the Jets last season, has 191 games worth of NHL regular-season action under his belt. He was signed by the Bruins to provide the team's blue line with added depth and experience and he may be called upon early on, with Torey Krug destined to miss some time to start the season. Others who are candidates to fill in on that front are Matt Grzelcyk, Robbie O'Gara, Jakub Zboril and Jeremy Lauzon.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Takes part in Wednesday's skate
Postma (hernia) took part in Wednesday's captain's practice, his first time on the ice as a member of the Bruins.
The former Jet inked a one-year deal following a career year of sorts in Winnipeg that saw him score 14 points in 65 games, and he's expected to serve primarily as a depth defender for Boston. Barring a wave of injuries to the Bruins' blue line, Postma shouldn't factor into most owners' fantasy plans this season.

Bruins' Paul Postma: Headed for Beantown on one-year pact
Postma (hernia) signed a one-year, $725,000 contract with the Bruins on Saturday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Postma provided some uncharacteristic offensive support in 2016-17 with the Jets, accumulating 14 points (one goal, 13 assists). Despite turning 28 in February, Postma doesn't have a long track record at the top level, playing no more than last year's 65 games in a single season. Given that track record and his absence from the power play, it's fairly safe to assume he won't enter fantasy equations next season. Postma also underwent sports hernia surgery in early April, but it doesn't sound as though it should impact his availability for the start of 2017-18.

Jets' Paul Postma: Undergoes surgery for sports hernia
Postma underwent sports hernia surgery Friday that will effectively end his season, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
With the Jets already eliminated from playoff contention, there's no need for Postma to play through injury or attempt to come back early, so he'll turn his sights to the 2017-18 season. The 28-year-old finishes the campaign with just one goal and 13 assists, but also a respectable plus-3 rating while averaging 10:51 of ice time.

Jets' Paul Postma: May require surgery
Coach Paul Maurice noted Tuesday that a decision on whether Postma will need surgery to address a lower-body issue will be made in the next few days, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Postma, who last suited up March 16, thus remains without a timetable for return. Of course, with 14 points and 15 PIM in 65 games to date, the 28-year-old blueliner is off the fantasy radar in most formats.

Jets' Paul Postma: Out again Thursday
Postma (lower body) will not suit up for Thursday night's contest in Los Angeles, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Postma will miss his third consecutive game Thursday, and considering the short turnaround, it's unclear whether he'll be ready to go for Friday's matchup in Anaheim. Either way, the 28-year-old has managed just two points in his last 11 games, so his absence is unlikely to be noticed by the majority of fantasy owners.

Jets' Paul Postma: Misses practice Monday
Postma (lower body) did not take part in practice Monday, the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Postma's absence from the session doesn't necessarily rule him out for Tuesday, but he will likely need to rejoin his teammates at the morning skate to be a lineup candidate. Expect further information on his status to arrive prior to the evening puck drop.
