Avalanche's Peter Holland: Cut from camp roster
Holland was cut from the Avalanche's training camp roster and sent to AHL Colorado on Wednesday, according to Corey Masisak of The Denver Post.
Holland didn't play with any team last season, but he did record six assists in 15 games with Djurgardens IF of the SHL in 2021-22. The 32-year-old has 36 goals and 85 points in 266 career NHL appearances.

Avalanche's Peter Holland: Attempting NHL comeback
Holland signed a professional tryout agreement with the Avalanche on Tuesday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Holland was last seen in the NHL in 2017-18 with the Rangers, when he posted four points in 23 games in a bottom-six role. He's since played in the AHL, Russia and Sweden, though he was not on any team for the 2022-23 campaign after logging six assists in 15 contests with Djurgardens IF of the SHL a year before. Given his time away from the NHL, it seems like Holland will be a long shot to earn a contract from the Avalanche, but he may be able to settle for a two-way deal in North America if he performs well in training camp.

Peter Holland: Headed for KHL
Holland agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg (KHL) on Wednesday.
Drafted by the Ducks with the 15th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft, Holland saw action in just 29 games with the club before being traded to the Maple Leafs in 2013-14. The center peaked in Toronto, as he notched 25 goals and 38 helpers in four seasons with the Leafs. The 28-year-old's career would also include stints with the Coyotes and Rangers. Last season, Holland once again found himself switching organizations, as he was acquired from New York by the Blackhawks, but was never able to earn a call-up to Chicago. With his move overseas, it's probably the last time Holland will suit up in North America, and he figures to bring his NHL career to a close with 36 goals and 49 assists in 266 appearances.

Holland was traded by the Rangers to the Blackhawks in exchange for Darren Raddysh on Monday.
Holland has spent all of this season at the AHL level and will now report to AHL Rockford. A first-round pick in 2009, the 28-year-old has just 85 points in 266 career NHL contests.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Lands on waiver wire
Holland was waived for reassignment to AHL Hartford on Friday.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Skips around in 2017-18
Holland played 36 games in the minors and 23 games for the Rangers in the 2017-18 season.
Holland began the campaign with AHL Laval -- Montreal's minor-league affiliate -- and posted 19 points in 20 games, but he was traded to the Rangers in November. With New York, he spent time with AHL Hartford (14 points, 16 games) before being called up to the Rangers and suiting up for 23 games. Holland averaged 12:24 of ice time in that span, and he notched one goal and three helpers. The Rangers have plenty of depth up the middle with Mika Zibanejad, Vladislav Namestnikov and Kevin Hayes, so Holland will likely fight for the fourth-line center position.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Hits waivers
Holland was placed on waivers by the Rangers on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada reports.
Holland provided the team with some ice time with a number of the regulars unavailable due to injury or because they were linked to trade talks. With Chris Kreider available again for the club, Holland will likely return to the minors if unclaimed.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Scores first goal with Rangers
Holland scored a goal and an assist in a 7-4 loss to the Flyers on Sunday.
The 27-year-old only posted two points and no goals in his first 14 games with the Rangers, so to say the least, this was a breakout performance for the new member of the Blueshirts. Prior to joining the Rangers, Holland had five goals and 11 points with the Coyotes, so he now has six scores and 15 points in 49 games overall this season.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Makes trek back to big club
Holland was recalled from AHL Hartford on Tuesday.
Holland was sent down as the Rangers went on break for All-Star Weekend, but now that they're back and prepping for a game Thursday, the pivot will make his return to the ranks of the big club. That said, the team is already carrying 12 healthy forwards, so there's no guaranteed role waiting for the Toronto native.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Shifts back to minors
Holland was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Friday.
Holland accrued two assists and 10 shots on goal through six games in this NHL stint, but with the All-Star break on the horizon, his services won't be needed until at least Feb. 1 for a game against the Maple Leafs.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Collects assist in season debut
Holland record an assist through 13:40 of ice time during Tuesday's 5-1 win over Philadelphia.
The 2009 first-round pick collected 13 goals and 20 assists through 36 games in the AHL with Laval and Hartford before being recalled to the Rangers on Monday. Holland is capable of playing bottom-six minutes and chipping in occasional offense at the highest level, but it's unlikely the 27-year-old forward establishes himself as a viable fantasy asset over the coming weeks.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Called up from Hartford
Holland was recalled from AHL Hartford on Monday.
In a corresponding move, the Rangers sent Boo Nieves down to the minors. Holland had a couple decent seasons with Toronto, but since then he's bounced from Arizona to Montreal to New York. The 27-year-old doesn't have much fantasy potential at this point.

Rangers' Peter Holland: Heads to Big Apple in trade
The Canadiens traded Holland to the Rangers on Thursday in exchange for Adam Cracknell.
Holland was waived ahead of the season, but held his own offensively in the minors with 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) through 20 games playing for AHL Laval. The Canadian center is under contract through the 2018-19 campaign, but he'll be operating under one-way terms next year, meaning the Blueshirts would have to subject him to waivers in order to send him down a rank. There's not much to look at here from a fantasy perspective.

Canadiens' Peter Holland: Sent to waiver wire
Montreal waived Holland on Saturday, Arpon Basu of The Athletic Montreal reports.
Holland was primarily brought in to add depth down the middle, so it's not surprising that he won't be included on the Canadiens' Opening Night roster. The 26-year-old pivot will, however, be one of the first forwards recalled throughout the season when Montreal is dealing with injuries up front. That limited role will prevent the 2009 first-round pick from being a useful option in any season-long fantasy formats.

Canadiens' Peter Holland: Headed to Montreal
Holland inked a one-year contract with the Canadiens on Saturday, the Canadiens' official website reports.
Holland totaled just 11 points with the Coyotes over 40 games last season after being traded from Toronto, but he does have a history of some production during his time with the Maple Leafs and the pedigree of a first-round pick. It seems unlikely that Holland will gain fantasy relevance in 2017-18, but he should improve on his output from the lackluster campaign last year.

Coyotes' Peter Holland: Finds back of net again Friday
Holland scored an unassisted goal in Friday's 6-3 win against the Capitals.
Holland has a total of just five goals this season, but two of the markers have come over the past three outings. Still, it's too little, too late for fantasy owners to risk using him outside of deeper leagues. He might be worth a spin as a low-cost DFS option, however.

Coyotes' Peter Holland: Gets on board in nation's capital
Holland scored his fourth goal of the season and finished with a plus-1 rating in Saturday's 4-1 loss against the Capitals.
Holland's goal snapped a six-game point drought, and it was his first marker since March 5. At this late stage of the season, there isn't enough time for Holland to endear himself to fantasy owners.

Coyotes' Peter Holland: Scarcely playing
Holland has only dressed for two of the past 12 games.
With just one goal and seven points through 28 games this season, Holland brings limited offensive upside to the table. He has shown potential in the past, but the 26-year-old center is unlikely to live up to the expectations that made him a first-round selection in 2009. He's off the fantasy grid at this stage of the game.

Coyotes' Peter Holland: Watches from press box
Holland was a healthy scratch for Thursday's game against Vancouver.
With just one goal and three points through his past 17 games, it wouldn't be surprising to see Holland frequenting the press box more often going forward. He has shown flashes of upside in the past, but it's unlikely the 26-year-old forward ever lives up to the promise that made him a first-round selection in 2009. He's off the fantasy radar at this stage of the game.

Coyotes' Peter Holland: Impresses in debut with new team
Holland played an integral part in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings, dishing out a pair of assists in his Coyotes debut.
Holland wasted no time making an impression with his new team, setting up both of Jamie McGinn's goals. He had just a single assist while averaging 10:43 of ice time over eight games with Toronto this year, and if his 14:18 in this one was any indication, Holland should have an increased role -- and more opportunities to produce -- in Arizona.
