Emerson Etem: Released from PTO
The Kings released Etem from his professional tryout offer Tuesday, Jon Rosen of Fox Sports West reports.
The Kings have a lot of depth up front, so it isn't exactly surprising that Etem wasn't able to win a spot on the Opening Night roster. The 26-year-old winger has been invited to AHL Ontario's training camp, so if he's unable to catch on with another NHL club, he may have to settle for an AHL-only deal this season.

Kings' Emerson Etem: Scores goal in loss
Etem scored one goal in the Kings' 7-4 preseason loss to Anaheim on Wednesday.
Etem joined the Kings in the offseason on a PTO and remains a long shot to make the Opening Night roster. A season ago, the native of Long Beach, California split time between AHL Tucson and Lugano of the Swiss-A League where he registered five points in 21 combined contests.

Emerson Etem: Joining Kings camp on PTO
Etem will attend the Kings' training camp on a professional tryout contract, TSN reports.
The 29th overall pick by the Ducks back in 2010, Etem will have a chance to earn a roster spot on his former team in training camp. After being released from the Coyotes organization in January last season, Etem finished out his 2017-18 season with HC Lugano of the Swiss National League. While unlikely to make an impact in the NHL this season, the 26-year-old forward could become a depth piece in the Kings organization.

Emerson Etem: Inks deal with Swiss Club
Etem agreed to terms on a one-year contract with HC Lugano of the Swiss League on Sunday.
Etem was unconditionally released by the Coyotes at the end of December, after failing to make an appearance for the club in 2017-18. The 29th overall pick of the 2010 NHL Draft, the 25-year-old never lived up to expectations, as he notched just 46 points in 173 NHL outings. The winger likely has seen the last of North America in terms of his professional hockey career.

Emerson Etem: Waived unconditionally
Etem was placed on unconditional waivers Sunday for the purpose of terminating his contract, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Through 16 minor-league contests, Etem has notched a mere five points along with eight PIM and a minus-3 rating. Selected with the 29th overall pick in 2010, the winger has played in just 173 NHL games, tallying 46 points. Although he has spent his career playing in North America, the 25-year-old may have to head overseas to extend his professional career.

Coyotes' Emerson Etem: Sent to AHL affiliate
The Coyotes reassigned Etem to AHL Tuscon on Friday.
Starting netminder Antti Raanta suffered a lower-body injury during Thursday's 4-2 loss to Detroit, so the Coyotes were forced to recall goaltender Marek Langhamer from the minors Friday, which left the team with no choice but to send Etem packing. The 25-year-old American will continue to be one of the first forwards recalled throughout the 2017-18 campaign when Arizona is dealing with injuries up front.

Coyotes' Emerson Etem: Called to Arizona
Etem was recalled to Arizona on Monday.
After only appearing in three NHL games last season, Etem will get another chance to crack the lineup. However, with the Coyotes having numerous forwards injured at the moment, it's unclear the role or how long he'll remain with the team.

Coyotes' Emerson Etem: Assigned to minor-league affiliate
The Coyotes assigned Etem to AHL Tuscon on Friday.
Etem has only managed to tally 15 points in 61 NHL games over the past three seasons, so his demotion doesn't come as much of a surprise. The 2010 first-round draft pick will likely spend the majority of the 2017-18 campaign in the minors, and at this point it's looking unlikely that he'll ever hold a regular spot in an NHL club's lineup.

Coyotes' Emerson Etem: Clears waivers, remains with Arizona
Etem went unclaimed on the waiver wire but will remain with the Coyotes for the near future, Craig Morgan of NHL.com reports.
Drafted in the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft, Etem made his NHL debut at the age of 20 with great expectations, but his career has sputtered in recent seasons. The California native signed with Arizona in the offseason, and though he'll remain on the NHL roster for now, it's a discouraging sign that he was waived by a rebuilding team in need of forward depth.

Coyotes' Emerson Etem: Deemed expendable
Etem was waived by Arizona on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Etem played in 58 outings split between the Rangers and Canucks during the 2015-16 campaign, but he was limited to a mere three contests with the Ducks last year. The 2010 first-round pick has not lived up to the expectations set by the 107 points he put up in his final WHL season. The 25-year-old will head to AHL Tuscon if he goes unclaimed off the waiver wire.

Coyotes' Emerson Etem: Puts pen to paper
Etem signed a one-year, two-way contract with Arizona on Wednesday.
Etem logged a mere three contests with the Ducks last year, averaging a paltry 8:48 of ice time. Selected with the 29th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, the winger will no doubt hope to make an impression during training camp and secure a spot on the 23-man roster heading into the 2017-18 campaign.

Ducks' Emerson Etem: Assigned to minors
Etem was sent down to AHL San Diego on Thursday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Etem has been something of a fill-in player for the Ducks this season as he's averaged only 8:48 of ice time in three games since coming over from Vancouver. He'll be worth monitoring for the rest of the season if you're a Ducks fan, but probably won't materialize into anything fantasy worthy.

Ducks' Emerson Etem: In the lineup Wednesday
Despite being waived by Anaheim Wednesday morning, Etem is in the Ducks' lineup for the evening's game against Nashville.
Ryan Getzlaf (forearm) was considered a game-time decision for Anaheim's matchup with the Predators, so the Ducks likely kept Etem around as an insurance policy in case Getzlaf couldn't go. The Ducks' captain was ultimately held out of Wednesday's contest with a forearm injury, giving Etem the opportunity to draw into his third game of the season with Anaheim. If Etem goes unclaimed, he'll likely be sent to the Ducks' AHL affiliate once Getzlaf or Rickard Rakell (personal) is cleared to return to game action.

Ducks' Emerson Etem: Placed on waivers
Etem was waived for the second time this season Wednesday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Waiving Etem could be a sign that Rickard Rakell's visa issues have been resolved. Etem played in just two of the Ducks' first seven games this year, averaging 6:01 of ice time, so he was clearly a temporary fill-in on Anaheim's roster. If he goes unclaimed, the team will assign him to AHL San Diego.

Ducks' Emerson Etem: Healthy scratch Sunday
Etem is a healthy scratch Sunday against the Islanders.
The California native was claimed off waivers from Vancouver on Thursday and was immediately added to the Ducks' 23-man roster. Etem posted 15 points in 58 games last season as a member of the Rangers and Canucks after spending the first three years of his career with Anaheim, but it's unclear when he'll get a shot to put the Ducks jersey back on in his second stint with the team.

Ducks' Emerson Etem: Claimed off waivers, will join team
Etem was claimed off waivers by Anaheim on Thursday and is listed on their 23-man roster, Helene Elliott of Los Angeles Times reports.
Etem was waived by Vancouver on Tuesday after a dismal 2015-16 that saw the California native record just 15 points across 58 games split between the Rangers and Canucks. It's unclear as to when he'll join the team, but he's currently listed on the Ducks' 23-man roster, indicating they don't plan on sending Etem directly to the AHL. The 24-year-old was Anaheim's first round pick in 2010 and he spent the first three years of his career in the Ducks' organization, so he'll be heading back to familiar digs in Orange County.

Canucks' Emerson Etem: Placed on waivers
Etem was placed on waivers by the Canucks on Tuesday.
Even had Etem earned a spot on the roster, his playing time would have been limited and his skill set really only translates to leagues that include hits (87 in 58 games last season) as a stat. He did fling an even 100 shots on net over that span as well but managed to convert that into just seven goals. He's likely bound to be a fringe NHL player in 2015-16 with the Canucks.

Canucks' Emerson Etem: inks one-year contract extension
Etem signed a one-year contract extension with the Canucks on Monday.
Etem saw an increase in production after the Rangers traded him to the Canucks in January. He scored seven goals and had five assists in 39 games with Vancouver. The former first round pick will look to continue to improve as a Canuck, but the 24-year-old winger will have minimal fantasy value until he finds more consistency.

Canucks' Emerson Etem: Nets game winner against former team
Etem scored the game-winning goal late in the third period Friday against Anaheim.
This was a clutch goal for Etem against his former team, giving him four tallies on the season. The 25-year-old has managed just eight points in 35 games with Vancouver this season, so don't expect a huge finish to the year. The third-liner has been too inconsistent to be trusted in anything but the deepest of leagues.
