Jordan Schroeder: Bound for KHL
Schroeder will try his luck in the KHL with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod after signing a one-year deal with the club Friday.
It will be the first taste of European hockey for Schroeder, who came up through the US Development team before playing for the University of Minnesota. Since his collegiate day, the center split time in the AHL and NHL, making a total of 165 appearances for Vancouver, Minnesota and Columbus, in which he registered 18 goals and 24 helpers. With his move overseas, the 28-year-old has likely played in his last NHL contests.

Blackhawks' Jordan Schroeder: Placed on waivers
Schroeder was waived by the Blackhawks on Friday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
The Blackhawks acquired Schroeder in a straight swap for goalie Jean-Francois Berube in late June. Considering the team lacks depth at that position, it's a bit surprising that they let go of Berube for a player that they waived in the middle of training camp. At any rate, Schroeder will likely head to AHL Rockford in the event that he clears waivers.

Blackhawks' Jordan Schroeder: Dealt to Chicago
Schroeder was traded from the Blue Jackets to the Blackhawks in a 1-for-1 swap for goalie Jean-Francois Berube on Wednesday.
Schroeder picked up only two points over 21 games with Columbus last season, and he's heard from his share of doubters about his diminutive stature at 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds. However, he's accumulated 42 points (18 goals, 24 assists) over 165 career contests, which is a decent rate of production for a guy who has been averaging 10:40 of ice time per contest.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Scores just two points in 21 games
Schroeder scored one goal and had one assist through 21 games in 2017-18, but he averaged just 7:29 of ice time.
Although Schroeder's never played in more than 37 NHL games in his career and usually bumps between the big league and AHL, the two points were a career low, and his minus-four rating was his second-worst. Schroeder also wasn't handed much playing time in his first season in Columbus, as he averaged just 7:29 of ice time and didn't play in a game after Jan. 25. Although the 27-year-old is due back for 2018-19, it seems unlikely that he'll play a larger role with the team in his second season.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Sent to AHL
Schroeder cleared waivers Saturday and has been sent to AHL Cleveland, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
Schroeder picked up only two points (one goal, one assist) over 21 games with the Blue Jackets this season, but he's put together a better line (eight points in 15 games) at the AHL level this season. He's split time between the two levels during each of the last six seasons, having yet to stake a claim to a permanent role with an NHL club.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Scores first point of season
Schroeder's assist in the third period was his first of the year, earned in a 3-2 win over Toronto on Monday.
Schroeder has no real value in all but deep dynasty leagues, as he's bounced back between Columbus and AHL Cleveland and is with the Jackets to help the team get through its injury issues. He's not likely to stick around Columbus long-term, and with no point production to speak of besides Monday, he's not an option in any standard league.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Heads back to minors
Schroeder was loaned to AHL Cleveland on Saturday.
Schroeder was recalled under emergency terms Friday to fill in for an injury-riddled offensive unit, but the Blue Jackets have four days off and may call him back up if their normal forwards can't recover. He logged just 8:01 of ice time in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Flyers, firing one shot on goal.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Added to NHL roster on emergency basis
Schroeder was recalled from the team's AHL affiliate in Cleveland on Friday.
Schroeder hasn't been away from the team long, as he was demoted from the top roster Sunday. He should provide the Blue Jackets with some depth on the front lines, but he doesn't offer much from a fantasy standpoint. Schroeder has failed to tally a point and has averaged only 6:51 of ice time in his eight contests with the parent club this season.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Demoted Sunday
Schroeder was reassigned to AHL Cleveland on Sunday.
The Minnesota native's most recent recall lasted all of four days, though he did play two games in that span, taking him up to a total of eight for the season. Schroeder has failed to score a point for the Jackets in 2017-18, as he's struggled to contribute offensively while mostly filling a fourth-line role.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Recalled Wednesday
Schroeder was recalled from AHL Cleveland on Wednesday.
The NHL journeyman has suited up for six games as a Blue Jacket this season, going scoreless while averaging just over seven minutes of time on ice per game. Schroeder, a first-round pick in 2009, is a skilled player who has found it difficult to establish himself at the highest level partly due to the fact that he's been deployed as a bottom-six forward during his stints in the NHL.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Sent down to minors
Schroeder was reassigned to AHL Cleveland on Wednesday.
Schroeder's demotion is likely just intended to get him some play time as the Monsters are in action against AHL Manitoba on Thursday. The Blue Jackets are off until Friday, so don't be surprised to see Schroeder back in Columbus soon.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Called up from AHL
Schroeder was called up from AHL Cleveland on Monday.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Waived by team
Schroeder (concussion) was placed on waivers Monday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Per NHL rules, Schroeder must have been cleared from the concussion protocol in order for the team to waive him for reassignment. The team also recalled him from his conditioning assignment as part of the necessary moves to place him on waivers. If he clears, the center will likely be officially sent down to the minors.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Headed for conditioning assignment
Schroeder (concussion) will join AHL Cleveland for a conditioning assignment, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
Schroeder has practiced with the team both Wednesday and Thursday as he continues to work his way back from a concussion. The center doesn't have a specific timeline to return to Columbus, but appears to be taking steps in the right direction in his recovery.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Returns to practice Wednesday
Schroeder (concussion) was on the ice for Wednesday's practice, George Richards of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
There's no timetable yet for him to make his regular-season debut with the Jackets, but Schroeder appears close to returning to action after getting injured Sept. 20. The 27-year-old set career highs last season with the Wild, albeit modest ones, with six goals and 13 points in 37 games, and he'll work into the checking line mix with Columbus once he's healthy.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Nursing upper-body injury
Schroeder is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, Adam Jardy of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
There's no indication of when he picked up the injury, but as yet it doesn't appear to put his spot on the Opening Night roster in jeopardy. With Josh Anderson back in the fold, the Jackets can afford to give Schroeder a game or two off to begin the year before adding him onto one of their checking lines.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Designated for injured reserve
Schroeder (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Schroeder was originally considered day-to-day, so his stint on IR could be short term with the Blue Jackets kicking the can down the road on making a roster move to stay under the 23-man limit. Once given the all-clear, the center will likely be reassigned to AHL Cleveland.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Inks deal with new club
Schroeder agreed to terms on a two-year, two-way contract with Columbus on Tuesday.
Acquired during the 2017 NHL Draft, Schroeder's new deal will be a two-way contract for the first season before it converts to a one-way contract for the 2018-19 campaign. The 26-year-old played in 37 contests for the Wild this past year, tallying six goals and seven helpers while averaging just 9:47 of ice time. Fantasy owners probably shouldn't expect an immediate jump in ice time, but don't be surprised to see him competing for more minutes alongside Tyler Motte and Lukas Sedlak.

Blue Jackets' Jordan Schroeder: Dealt to Columbus
Schroeder was traded to Columbus on Friday in exchange for Dante Salituro.
Schroeder possesses the pedigree (first-round pick in 2009) of a player that could be productive at the NHL level, but he's yet to put it together. The Blue Jackets hope another change of scenery will finally unlock his potential after his stay in Minnesota soured last season. He finished 2016-17 with just 13 points (six goals, seven assists) over 37 contests and averaged just 9:47 of ice time.
