Wild's Victor Bartley: Clear of injury
Bartley (triceps) was activated from IR on Saturday.
Bartley has yet to suit up for the Wild. He suffered a triceps injury in the preseason after signing as a free agent last summer. It remains to be seen if he will crack the Wild's lineup this postseason, but his return is a welcomed addition to the team's defensive depth. The 29-year-old has only logged 10 games over the past two seasons, so there will likely be some rust to shake off.

Wild's Victor Bartley: Practicing with team
Bartley (triceps) took part in practice Monday, Michael Russo of the Star Tribune reports.
Bartley remains on the non-roster injury list, as he has missed the entire season with this triceps injury, but his return to the ice should be an encouraging sign he might be available during the playoffs. Even once cleared, however, the defenseman may not crack the Wild lineup given that he has not played in a game -- in either the NHL or AHL -- since training camp.

Bartley (torn triceps) was on the ice for morning skate Thursday, Michael Russo of the Star Tribune reports.
The 29-year-old defenseman, who was expected back earlier this month, is recovering slowly but surely. He's not likely to return in time to make an impact during the regular season, but the Wild are a shoo-in for the playoffs, and that's where his focus should be now.

Wild's Victor Bartley: Placed on injured reserve
Barley has been placed on injured reserve, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Since he suffered the injury in training camp, he had to be placed on the NHL injured reserve rather than be sent to the minors. He's expected to miss several months due to a torn triceps that will require surgery.

Bartley exited Sunday's contest with what was deemed an undisclosed issue but it has turned out to be a nightmare for the 28-year-old defenseman. He wasn't expected to make it past roster cuts but this closes the book on a significant portion of his 2016-17 season.

Wild's Victor Bartley: Inks one-year deal with Minnesota
Bartley (lower body) signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild on Friday.
Bartley appeared in 10 NHL contests last season, registering eight shots on goal with zero points and a plus-2 rating over that span. The 28-year-old Ontario native will provide the Wild with organizational depth at defense in 2016-17, and will likely spend the majority of the season in the minors. Bartley was dealing with a lower-body ailment at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, but should be ready for training camp in September.

Canadiens' Victor Bartley: Heads to Montreal
Bartley was recalled by the Canadiens on Monday to replace Tom Gilbert (knee).
Bartley will likely be an extra option off the bench for the time being, but it's possible for him to remain in Montreal full time after bouncing back and fourth from AHL St. John's. The 27-year-old will be awaiting his debut with Montreal after spending his first four seasons in the Predators' organization.

Canadiens' Victor Bartley: Assigned to minors Wednesday
Bartley has been sent to AHL St. John's, Amanda Stein of TSN 690 reports.
Bartley is a new acquisition for the Canadiens, coming over from the Predators, and technically the Coyotes, after they packaged him in trade that saw Jarred Tinordi wind up in Arizona. According to Stein, the plan is for Bartley to play in minor-league games Wednesday and Friday. Beyond that, the plans for Bartley are unclear, but he seems to be an organizational depth piece at this juncture.

Canadiens' Victor Bartley: Recalled from AHL St. John's
Bartley has been recalled from AHL St. John's and will be in St. Louis for Saturday's game against the Blues.
It's been a busy day for Bartley. His name was included in a deal that initially had him packing his bags for Arizona, but then he was dealt a second time to the Habs (along with John Scott) for Jarred Tinordi. Montreal has done quite a bit of roster shuffling in the past 24 hours and following a 3-7-0 record over the past 10 games, but it remains to be seen how often Bartley will be utilized. This will be an adjustment for Bartley as well, given that the Predators are the only other NHL team he's played for since entering the league in 2012-13.

Canadiens' Victor Bartley: Traded twice Friday
Bartley was first traded to Arizona for Stefan Elliott, and then to Montreal (along with John Scott) for Jarred Tinordi, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
Bartley has spent parts of the last four seasons in the NHL with Nashville, including one game this season, recording one goal and 23 points in 112 games. It's unclear where Bartley will fit into the Habs defensive set up, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him sent down to AHL St. John's in the immediate future.

Predators' Victor Bartley: Reassigned to AHL Milwaukee
Bartley cleared waivers and was reassigned to AHL Milwaukee on Monday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Bartley was on Nashville's roster for the entire 2015-16 season to this point, but he was a healthy scratch in 22 of 23 games. The 27-year old will look to earn a recall to the NHL with the ice time he will receive in Milwaukee.

Predators' Victor Bartley: Goes on waivers
Bartley was placed on waivers by the Predators on Sunday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Bartley hasn't seen any action in a while, so it's not a huge surprise that he's now been placed on waivers. Assuming he goes unclaimed, the blueliner will likely be sent to AHL Milwaukee, where he should see more consistent playing time.

Predators' Victor Bartley: Riding Pine
Bartley sat out as a healthy scratch for the 11th time in 12 games Thursday against Minnesota.
This should come as no surprise, as Bartley regularly watched from the pressbox last season, playing in just 37 games. That said, he was fairly productive whenever he did play, notching 10 assists along the way. He's a tough fantasy recommendation at the current time, but if he ever does manage to secure himself a spot in the lineup, he could be worth owning in deeper formats.

Through nine games so far this season, Bartley is still waiting for his first point. He is averaging 13:58 in ice time thus far, which is over five minutes fewer than the 19:33 he saw last season. The arrival of rookie Seth Jones has severely impacted Bartley's role on the Preds' blue line this season.
