Blue Jackets' Brett Gallant: Waived by team
Gallant has been placed on waivers by Columbus on Friday, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
Gallant has just four NHL games under his belt while with the Islanders back in 2013-14 and registered 17 PIM and nine hits in those outings. The 27-year-old has a disappointing 2015-16 season as he managed just one lone assist in 48 contests. If he is unclaimed off the waiver wire, the winger will be sent to AHL Cleveland.

Gallant Signed By The Blue Jackets
Gallant signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Blue Jackets on Thursday.The 26-year-old had two goals and four assists while racking up 247 penalty minutes in 45 games last season with AHL Bridgeport. The 6-foot, 198-pound left wing adds depth and toughness to the Columbus organization up front. He will likely start the season with AHL Springfield and spend plenty of time in the penalty box....
