Cory Conacher: Released by Hurricanes
Conacher was released from his PTO by Carolina on Friday.
Conacher has an AHL contract with Chicago and will play for the Wolves in the 2023-24 season. He last played in the NHL during the 2019-20 campaign and at the age of 33, playing once again at the top level seems unlikely.

Hurricanes' Cory Conacher: Lands PTO with Carolina
Conacher signed a professional tryout agreement with the Hurricanes on Monday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Conacher played 17 total AHL games with Charlotte and Belleville last season after playing the previous two years in Switzerland. He hasn't seen any NHL action since the 2019-20 campaign when he dressed in four games with Tampa Bay. The 33-year-old forward should be considered a long shot to make the roster out of training camp. Should Conacher's NHL push fall short, he is under contract with the unaffiliated AHL Chicago team to play in the minors.

Cory Conacher: Inks overseas deal
Conacher agreed to terms on a three-year contract with Lausanne HC (NLA) on Tuesday.
Conacher spent the 2015-16 season playing in Switzerland and will return to the NLA for what figures to be the closing days of his career. Over the course of his seven-year NHL career, the 30-year-old winger has logged 193 games for the Lightning, Senators, Sabres and Islanders, in which he's tallied 28 goals and 47 helpers.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Reassigned to AHL
Conacher was sent down to AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Bounces back to big club
The Lightning recalled Conacher from AHL Syracuse on Monday.
Conacher was just sent down to bus league Friday, but the Lightning may be dealing with some injuries to their forward corps ahead of Monday's contest against the Islanders. The 29-year-old forward has played three games with the big club this year, posting a goal and three shots on net.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Sent to AHL affiliate
Tampa Bay reassigned Conacher to AHL Syracuse on Friday.
Alex Killorn (lower body) returned to action Thursday against Minnesota, so the Lightning are no longer in need of Conacher's services on the wing. The 29-year-old will continue to be one of the first players Tampa Bay turns to when dealing with injuries up front, but he won't have any fantasy value in 2019-20.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Back with big club
The Lightning recalled Conacher from AHL Syracuse on Thursday.
Conacher's promotion suggests Alex Killorn (lower body) may not be available for Thursday's matchup with Minnesota. The 29-year-old winger has picked up one helper while averaging 11:04 of ice time in three appearances with the big club this campaign.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Shifts to minors
The Lightning assigned Conacher to AHL Syracuse on Wednesday.
Conacher was brought to the big club since Alex Killorn (lower body) was unable to play, but it appears Killorn may be ready for Thursday's matchup against the Wild. As a result, Conacher will return to minors and look to add to the 19 points he's accrued through 18 contests.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Called up from minors
Conacher was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.
Conacher has been limited to just three games with the Lightning this season in which he notched one assist, three shots and two hits while averaging 11:04 of ice time. Coach Jon Cooper has repeatedly deployed seven defensemen this year, so the fact that Conacher was called up from the minors doesn't guarantee he will be in the lineup versus Nashville on Tuesday.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Moves up to NHL
The Lightning recalled Conacher from AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old has skated in 16 games with Syracuse this season, totaling five goals and seven assists. His promotion ahead of Tuesday's game against the Blues may signal that one of the Lightning's other forwards is tending to an injury.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Returned to minor-league affiliate
The Lightning reassigned Conacher to AHL Syracuse on Thursday.
Conacher has been a healthy scratch for each of Tampa Bay's last two games, so there's no reason for him to stick around just to sit in the press box on a nightly basis. The 29-year-old forward will likely spend nearly all of the campaign in the minors.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Summoned by parent club
The Lightning recalled Conacher from AHL Syracuse on Wednesday, NHL.com's Mike Morreale reports.
Patrick Maroon (upper body) and Anthony Cirelli (lower body) are both banged up heading into Wednesday's matchup with New Jersey, so Conacher was brought up to serve as an insurance policy. Even if Maroon and Cirelli are both unable to go, Conacher will likely sit as a healthy scratch against the Devils.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Inks one-year deal
Conacher signed a one-year, $700,000 contract extension with Tampa Bay on Wednesday.
Conacher, who was also waived by the Lightning on Wednesday, will thus remain with Tampa Bay through the 2019-20 campaign. The 28-year-old winger is nothing more than an organizational depth option at this stage in his career, so there's no reason for fantasy owners to keep tabs on his status.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Placed on waivers
Tampa Bay waived Conacher on Wednesday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Conacher has struggled to crack the lineup this season, appearing in just one of the Lightning's first four contests, so this move makes sense. The 28-year-old winger was, however, spotted at Wednesday's practice, so he may remain with the big club instead of heading to the minors if he goes unclaimed.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Not expected to play
Conacher (undisclosed) is expected to be a healthy scratch for Saturday's Game 5 matchup, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Considering Conacher hasn't played in a game since April 18, it shouldn't come as a surprise he is not going to suit up now that he is healthy. A frequent scratch throughout the regular season, the winger made just 36 appearances for the Lightning, in which he tallied eight goals and four helpers. It will likely take an injury to another forward for the 27-year-old to show up in the lineup the rest of the playoffs.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Prohibited from taking contact
Conacher (undisclosed) was spotted at Tuesday's morning skate wearing a red no-contact jersey, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.
This means Conacher will miss an eighth straight contest, as the winger has been a spectator even when healthy. It appears that Chris Kunitz will continue operating in a fourth-line capacity on the left wing with Conacher tending to his undisclosed issue.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Scores Bolts lone goal Wednesday
Conacher scored his seventh goal of the season in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Sabres.
He'd gone seven games without a point before lighting the lamp Wednesday. Conacher now has 10 points in 28 games with the big club, having bounced between the NHL and AHL all season, and there's no guarantee he keeps his spot once Nikita Kucherov (upper body) and Ondrej Palat (lower body) get healthy.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: Tallies two goals
Conacher scored two goals, including the game winner, on two shots in a 7-4 win over the Flames on Thursday.
This is a bit of a surprise, as Conacher has been largely absent from the Lightning's lineup recently. He had been a scratch in Tampa's previous five games, and in eight of their previous nine contests. One game with two goals isn't likely going to change much for the 28-year-old.

Lightning's Cory Conacher: May be demoted despite strong play
Despite his recent solid performance, Conacher may find himself sent down to the minors soon, reports the Tampa Times.
He played in his eighth game of the season Saturday. Once Conacher reaches 10 cumulative games or 30 days up in the NHL, he will have to clear waivers to get sent back to AHL Syracuse. There is a chance the Bolts will swap Conacher out of the lineup after Tuesday's game and replace him with someone from the minors.

Conacher is sticking with the Lightning "for now," reports the Tampa Bay Times.
Conacher has notched two goals in the two games he's played this season. He practiced on a line with Yanni Gourde and Alex Killorn on Monday.
