Jarome Iginla: Set to retire
Iginla will officially announce his retirement Monday.
Iginla spent 17 seasons with the Flames before leaving in pursuit of a Stanley Cup -- a feat he was unfortuantely never able to achieve. All told, the winger logged 1,554 NHL contests in which he garnered 625 goals, 675 assists and another 68 postseason points. The two-time Rocket Trophy winner also earned Art Ross honors in 2001-02 and the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 2003-04.

Kings' Jarome Iginla: Fills stat sheet against Calgary
Iginla registered a goal, an assist, a plus-3 rating and a five-minute major penalty for fighting during Wednesday's win over the Flames.
While Iginla has a respectable five goals and seven points through 13 games since joining Los Angeles, he's also missed the scoresheet in eight of those contests. His minus-7 rating is also a crippling mark that limits the value of his other peripheral contributions (25 shots, 16 PIM and 25 hits as a King). The 39-year-old veteran checks out as a low-end fantasy option in most settings at this stage of his career.

Kings' Jarome Iginla: Lights lamp twice
Iginla scored two goals -- the second of which was the game-winner in overtime -- in Thursday's 3-2 victory over the Predators.
Both tallies came with the man advantage and were the first of Iginla's career in Hockeywood. He also received a whopping 20:02 of ice time, including a game-high 3:03 on the power play, and dished out seven (!) hits in addition to six shots on goal, so it was quite an all-around performance by the 39-year-old. If this keeps up and he's available on your waiver wire, be ready to pounce, since the four-time, 40-plus goal-scorer has serious pedigree and could be rejuvenated by his new surroundings.

Kings' Jarome Iginla: Heading to Hollywood
The Avalanche dealt Iginla to the Kings on Wednesday for a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2018 draft.
He's had a horrendous year with the Avs -- 18 points and a minus-21 rating over 61 outings -- which is why the price was quite modest. That said, it wouldn't be surprising to see Iginla experience an offensive uptick in Los Angeles if he gets to skate alongside the Kings' better scorers.
