Nikolai Khabibulin: Officially retires from hockey
Khabibulin has announced his retirement, reports Russian news source Championat. "I can officially declare that I have completed a career," said Khabibulin.
The Bhulin Wall became the first Russian netminder to win a Stanley Cup (2004) when he went 16-7 as the Bolts ultimately zapped the Flames. The four-time All-Star retires with 333 wins, sitting behind only Evgeni Nabakov (353) among Russian netminders who have played in the NHL. He also won two Olympic medals (gold and bronze) with Team Russia.
