Shawn Horcoff: Unlikely to reunite with Oilers
Horcoff is not interested in trying to secure a professional tryout offer (PTO) with the Oilers, the team that made him a fourth-round pick in 1988, Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports.
At 38 years old, one would think Horcoff is nearly ready to hang up his skates and call it a career. The veteran center is coming off a 59-game campaign with Anaheim, having only produced six goals and nine assists, not including a brief playoff stint. Assuming this is the last we'll see of Horcoff, he finishes his career with 511 points over 15 years of NHL service time split between the Oilers, Stars, and Ducks.

Ducks' Shawn Horcoff: Back in Sunday
Horcoff (undisclosed) will rejoin the lineup for the regular-season finale Sunday against the Capitals, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Horcoff skipped out on Saturday's game against the Avalanche because of the injury, but it appears the day off was enough for him to return with the Pacific Division title on the line. Even when healthy, Horcoff's 15 points over 58 games this season leave him off the fantasy radar for the most part. He's recently seen a dip in playing time from his average as well, pushing him further out of contention.

Ducks' Shawn Horcoff: Out of lineup against Colorado
Horcoff will miss Saturday's contest with the Avalanche with an undisclosed injury, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Coach Bruce Boudreau denied rumors that the team was resting players just for the sake of resting them and that Horcoff was in fact dealing with an injury. With a mere 15 points in 58 contests this season, a lengthy absence for the center is unlikely to impact your daily lineups.

Ducks' Shawn Horcoff: Notches rare multi-point effort
Horcoff posted a pair of assists and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Leafs.
Well, you certainly can't pin this one on the veteran pivot, who also won eight of 10 in the faceoff circle. Still, he hasn't scored a goal since the end of December and has just three points in his last 17 games, so it's hard to imagine a fantasy format where he's worth rolling out.

Ducks' Shawn Horcoff: Eligible to return Friday
Horcoff has served his 20-game suspension and is available for Anaheim's matchup with St. Louis on Friday.
Horcoff received the 20-game ban for use of a performance-enhancing substance. Prior to the suspension, the veteran was in the midst of an 11-contest pointless streak. In his first season with the Ducks, the center has a meager six goals and four helpers. It remains unclear whether or not coach Bruce Boudreau, but expect to hear more prior to Friday's outing.

Ducks' Shawn Horcoff: Gets 20-game suspension
Horcoff has been suspended by the NHL for 20 contests for violating the performing enhancing substance program, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Horcoff's suspension will keep him out for the entire month of February and could return to action Mar. 11. The winger was in the midst of a 11-game scoring slump prior to being suspended. In total, the veteran has a pedestrian 10 points in 45 outings this season.

Ducks' Shawn Horcoff: Scores in second straight game
Horcoff registered the only goal of the game Tuesday in Calgary.
The goal opened the scoring roughly midway through the second period, and his team was able to make it stand up for the 1-0 road victory that ended the Flames' 11-game home win streak. This tally gave Horcoff goals in back-to-back games, something he had yet to do this season. Horcoff's six goals this season land him in a tie for third on his team, not bad for a guy who averages less than 14 minutes and night and plays an inconsequential amount of power play time.

Ducks' Shawn Horcoff: Registers two points in victory
Horcoff picked up a goal and an assist in Monday's win over Carolina.
Points have been tricky to come by for the 37-year-old Canadian, but things were really going well for him on Monday. He put his team ahead with a goal off his skate in the first, and added an assist on linemate Carl Hagelin's score late in the third. Horcoff was all over the ice in the win and easily could have tallied a few more times, had he not been foiled by Canes goalie Eddie Lack. Don't expect many more multi-point efforts in the future from Horcoff, but enjoy it while it lasts.

Ducks' Shawn Horcoff: Scores 500th career point
Shawn Horcoff registered his 500th career point with his third period goal in Wednesday's loss to the Oilers.
Points have been few and far between for the veteran, as he has only registered four on the season so far. He's currently skating on a line with Chris Stewart and Andrew Cogliano, one that has been effective for the team this season. Despite Horcoff's recent spike in minutes, don't expect his scoring to spike significantly as a result.

Stars Will Not Sign Horcoff
Stars GM Jim Nill announced Friday that the team will not re-sign Horcoff.Nill acknowledged that Horcoff wants a significant role with a team and that they can't give that to him next season due to their focus on the young core.
