  • Vincent Dunn: Cut loose by Pittsburgh

Dunn (upper body) was not tendered a qualifying offer from the Penguins, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. As a result, he'll officially become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

Dunn was throw into a complex three-team trade highlighted by Derick Brassard and his move to Pittsburgh -- from Ottawa -- last February. The former has yet to make his NHL debut, and obviously he'll have to find a new employer before we can even begin to analyze his fantasy prospects.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Three assists Thursday

Dunn dished out a trio of helpers -- one on the power play -- in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Avalanche.

Dunn snapped a four-game point drought with his first multi-point effort since Nov. 18. The 21-year-old rookie's recent flashes on the offensive end should have dynasty league owners excited, but he'll need to produce more consistently to get on the radar in most redraft formats.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Gets hot before break

Dunn posted a power-play assist in Thursday's win over the Avalanche.

Dunn now has one goal and three assists while averaging 15:28 of ice time through the last five games. The 21-year-old has showered 14 shots on goal in that span too, partly because of his consistent power-play usage. The man-advantage work will be even more valuable after the break with the anticipated return of Jaden Schwartz, who had 35 points -- five on the power play -- in 30 games before fracturing his ankle. Dunn could be a cheap option in daily formats and a future star in keeper leagues.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Rises to occasion in Ontario debut

Dunn scored in overtime during Tuesday's 2-1 victory against Toronto.

This was Dunn's first career game in his home province, and he ended the night in impressive fashion. Not only did the rookie score the game-winning tally in overtime, but he also recorded a contest-high seven shots and was on the ice for more meaningful minutes than usual. He's a mobile defenseman who's capable of making a strong first pass, but his inexperience will likely prevent him from playing enough minutes to be a consistent fantasy asset in most settings. However, he definitely offers intriguing long-term value in dynasty/keeper leagues.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Back with team

Dunn was promoted from AHL Chicago on Monday.

Dunn missed the Blues' previous five outings as he recovered from an illness. Even though the youngster appears to be back at 100 percent following a stint in the minors, there is no guarantee coach Mike Yeo will reinsert him into the lineup. If the defenseman does crack the lineup, he would likely need to beat out Robert Bortuzzo for the last spot.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Headed back to minors

Dunn was packaged off to AHL Chicago on Wednesday.

Dunn -- who is just returning from a stint on IR -- will spend the Blues' bye week getting his legs back under him after missing the last five contests. With a healthy blue line, St. Louis could decide to keep the youngster in the minors rather than recalling him ahead of Tuesday's contest versus the Maple Leafs.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Activated off IR

Dunn (illness) was taken off injured reserve Monday.

With Dunn once again available, the Blues sent Jake Walman back to AHL Chicago. Just because the youngster Dunn is healthy, doesn't mean he will immediately return to the lineup, now that Jay Bouwmeester is back in action. If Dunn does suit up, it will likely come at the expense of Carl Gunnarsson or Robert Bortuzzo.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Moves to IR

Dunn (illness) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

The talented rookie's roster spot will at least be temporarily filled by Jake Walman, who arrives from AHL Chicago. Dunn hasn't been short on positive moments in his first year, adding three goals and four assists through his first 39 games. Those numbers might be considered boring from a fantasy perspective, but then again, he's already averaging 1:42 on the man advantage and is being fast-tracked to a substantial role. Keep him in mind for keeper/dynasty settings.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Will miss next two contests

Dunn (illness) has been ruled out of Saturday's game against Philadelphia and Sunday's matchup with the Capitals, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Dunn has already missed two games due to an illness, so whatever he's dealing with must be relatively serious. His next opportunity to return to the lineup will come Tuesday when the Blues return home for a matchup with the Panthers.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Out of commission Thursday

Dunn (illness) remains unavailable Thursday against the Golden Knights, Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Dunn has provided the Blues with some quality ice time this season, racking up seven points (three goals, four assists), 72 shots on goal and a plus-1 rating over 39 games. His absence Thursday opens the door for Carl Gunnarsson and/or Robert Bortuzzo to draw in, making his next opportunity to return Saturday against the Flyers.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Dealing with an illness

Dunn missed Wednesday's practice due to an illness, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Dunn is currently the seventh defenseman on St. Louis' depth chart, so there's no guarantee he'll be in the lineup for Thursday's game against Vegas even if he's cleared to play beforehand. The 2015 second-round pick has notched three goals and seven points in 39 games this campaign.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Scores on only shot Saturday

Dunn scored a goal in Saturday's 2-0 home win over the Jets.

The goal came on the power play, where Dunn has been slotted lately in the absence of Alex Pietrangelo (foot). However, the Blues' captain is back from injury, and since Dunn is a third-pairing defender with limited ice time, he's probably not worth fantasy consideration unless he continues to see time with the man advantage.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Makes offensive impact Saturday

Dunn had two assists in Saturday's win over Vancouver.

The 21-year-old rearguard is putting together an impressive rookie campaign, managing five points and a plus-6 rating through 21 contests. He won't see huge minutes right now behind the likes of offensive studs Alex Pietrangelo and Colton Parayko, but Dunn is on the second power-play unit and is a promising fantasy player. The youngster is worth owning in some deep leagues at the moment and is one to keep an eye on moving forward.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Registers first NHL assist

Dunn collected an assist in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Islanders.

Dunn turned a season-high five shots and 19:38 of ice time into a single assist. He tallied 45 points for AHL Chicago last season, so now that he's gotten onto the scoresheet at the NHL level, Dunn should be worth a fantasy roster spot sooner than later.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Registers two shots in win

Dunn recorded two shots on net and earned a minus-1 rating through 15:38 of ice time (2:25 with the man advantage) during Monday's 3-2 shootout win over the Islanders.

After piling up 45 points over 72 games in his AHL debut last year, Dunn made the Blues out of camp with Jay Bouwmeester (ankle) sidelined. Dunn is playing limited minutes, but his power-play time in Monday's win was the most he's received through the first three games of the season. Head coach Mike Yeo is putting Dunn in positions to succeed, and the 20-year-old defenseman could be worth a look as a low-priced flier in daily contests while quarterbacking the No. 2 power-play unit.

  • Blues' Vince Dunn: Joins AHL Chicago

Dunn was assigned to AHL Chicago on Saturday, NHL.com reports.

Dunn, the No. 56 overall pick in the 2015 draft, averaged nearly a point per game during his last two seasons with OHL Niagara. The 19-year-old defenseman uses his speed and agility on the skates to take away scoring chances from opposing teams and will now have an opportunity to showcase that skill set in the minors.
