Kings' Tim Schaller: Hits waiver wire
The Kings placed Schaller on waivers Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Schaller was recently acquired from the Canucks on Monday in a deal that saw Tyler Toffoli head to Vancouver. Schaller suited up in two games with his new club, going pointless across 8:01 of average ice time. He'll likely head to the AHL ranks should he go unclaimed off waivers.

Kings' Tim Schaller: Headed to L.A.
Schaller was traded to the Kings along with Tyler Madden, a 2020 second-round pick and a conditional pick in 2022 from the Canucks in exchange for Tyler Toffoli on Monday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
The 29-year-old was lumped into the blockbuster deal that will take one of the top trade targets (Tyler Toffoli) off the board. Schaller will give the Kings depth for the remainder of the season, as he's collected six points in 51 games this campaign.

Canucks' Tim Schaller: Going to press box
Schaller will be a healthy scratch during Monday's meeting with Nashville, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Schaller will take a seat in favor of Zack MacEwen for Monday's contest. Schaller has just six points though 50 games. He's been a regular on the fourth line, but the Canucks will look to shake up their lines to try and snap their four-game losing streak. Schaller likely won't sit out many games, but he'll bring little fantasy value when he returns.

Canucks' Tim Schaller: Back to the norm
Schaller has no points in his past 11 games.
Schaller surprised many when he lit the lamp four times within a three-game span. Those four goals are the only points he's tallied this year. He's back to the Schaller we've grown accustomed to, where he focuses on the defensive side of the game rather than providing offense.

Canucks' Tim Schaller: Finds twine again
Schaller scored a goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 7-2 win over the Panthers.
The 28-year-old center has found a knack for scoring goals recently, with four in his last three games. He's now topped his goal-scoring output from 2018-19, but the four tallies are Schaller's only points of the year. It's unlikely the fourth-liner continues at this level of production for much longer.

Canucks' Tim Schaller: Pots pair of goals
Schaller scored two goals -- one shorthanded -- in Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Capitals.
Schaller's first tally gave the Canucks a lead in the first period as he made a shorthanded breakaway. He then struck again in the second period, stretching the lead to 4-1 at the time. With three goals in his last two games, he's matched his total from 47 games last year just 10 matches into the campaign. It's not likely the 28-year-old has suddenly found his scoring mitts -- expect a regression in the near future.

Canucks' Tim Schaller: Scoreless through five games
Schaller is searching for his first point of the season.
Schaller isn't known for his offense, as noted by his fourth-line and penalty-killing roles. He's played all five games for the Canucks this season, which is a surprise given that he was often a healthy scratch in 2018-19. He doesn't provide value in any standard category, and should be off your fantasy radar.
