Canucks' Borna Rendulic: Recalled Tuesday
Rendulic was recalled from the AHL's Utica Comets on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Croat has suited up in 14 NHL games, though he has yet to make his debut for the Canucks. Rendulic has good size (6-foot-2, 201 pounds) and scored 38 points in 68 games in the AHL last season, so he does have some offensive ability. That said, if Rendulic cracks the Vancouver lineup during this recall, it's likely that he'll fill a bottom-six role.

If the right winger can be similarly productive with Utica this season, an NHL future will likely be in store for him.

Rendulic was reassigned to AHL San Antonio on Tuesday.
Rendulic suited up for the first three games of the season with the Avalanche, but failed to register a single point and posted a minus-2 rating in those contests. That type of performance wasn't enough for Rendulic to maintain a spot on the team's 23-man roster, so he will now head to the AHL to try and get his season on the right track.
