Yevgeni Medvedev: Facing legal trouble
Medvedev has been charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia, Laura McCrystal of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Medvedev's future in the NHL was already uncertain prior to the blueliner's recent legal issues. The 33-year-old defender only managed to notch 13 points with a plus-5 rating over 45 games in 2015-16, and is a pending unrestricted free agent. It remains to be seen if an NHL club will take a chance on the troubled Russian in 2016-17.

Flyers' Yevgeni Medvedev: Healthy scratch again
Medvedev was a healthy scratch for Monday's 3-2 win against the Jets.
Medvedev has struggled to get a spot on the bench in the last month, appearing in just five games since Feb. 19. With the Flyers playing strong hockey as they push for the playoffs, coach Dave Hakstol doesn't have a reason to mix things up and play Medvedev.

Flyers' Yevgeni Medvedev: Scores game-winner
Medvedev racked up his second goal of the season -- the game-winner -- in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blues.
With six points on the year, the 33-year-old Russian defender isn't a hot topic in fantasy conversations. Still, he's on pace for 18 points and a plus-9 rating, not bad for his first NHL season. If the Flyers continue to roll -- they've won six of their last 10 -- Medvedev is likely to snag a stray point here and there.

Flyers' Yevgeni Medvedev: Scores first career goal
Medvedev scored the first goal of his NHL career Tuesday in a win over Ottawa.
It took him 14 games, but the Russian blueliner finally found twine. It's not like he's been piling up the helpers, either, though he continues to see fairly regular power-play duty despite averaging a quite modest 18:10 of ice time.

Flyers' Yevgeni Medvedev: Set to play Thursday
Medvedev (upper body) will return to game action Thursday against the Capitals.
Medvedev has missed the Flyers' last five games with an upper-body injury, but was able to log a limited practice Wednesday, and is ready to draw back into Philadelphia's lineup Thursday against Washington. Medvedev is expected to return to his role skating alongside Mark Streit on the Flyers' first pairing in Thursday's contest.

Flyers' Yevgeni Medvedev: Logs limited practice Wednesday
Medvedev (upper body) practiced in limited fashion Wednesday, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Wednesday's limited practice is an encouraging step in Medvedev's rehabilitation from an upper-body injury that has held the 33-year-old blueliner out of the Flyers' last five games. However, Medvedev will likely need to log a number of full practices before returning to game action, so his status for Thursday's matchup with Washington is iffy at best at this point in time.

Flyers' Yevgeni Medvedev: Out again Thursday
Medvedev won't play Thursday against Calgary, and remains day-to-day with an upper-body injury that isn't considered to be serious, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Medvedev missed Tuesday's game against the Oilers, as the Flyers ultimately opted to have him fly back to Philadelphia Tuesday evening to undergo additional testing on his injury. The ailment isn't believed to be serious, but the blueliner's status for Saturday's tilt against the Jets is up in the air at this point in time.

Flyers' Yevgeni Medvedev: Will not play Tuesday due to injury
According to GM Ron Hextall, Medvedev is flying back to Philadelphia with an upper-body injury and will not suit up for Tuesday evening's matchup with the Oilers.
Hextall added that the club will know more about this injury once Medvedev is examined by team doctors on Wednesday. It is probably unlikely Medvedev will appear in either of Philadelphia's next three games however, as they are heading on a Western Conference road trip. One might expect to see Medvedev next play when the Flyers return home to host the Avalanche on Nov. 10. This is the 33-year-old Russian defenseman's first season playing in the NHL, and he has totaled 1 point and 6 PIMs through 10 games thus far.

Flyers D Yevgeni Medvedev Collects assist in overtime loss
Flyers rookie Evgeny Medvedev collected an assist and two PIM in the Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss.
Appearing in his first NHL game, Medvedev did not disappoint. On a power play, the defenseman powered a shot from the point whose rebound was tipped in by Brayden Schenn. Medvedev garnered praise throughout the preseason, and he's worth monitoring in these first few games.
