Oilers' Robin Norell: Rights not retained by Edmonton
Norell did not receive a qualifying offer from the Oilers, making him an unrestricted free agent, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Norell hasn't appeared in an NHL game, and he's never cracked 10 points in a season with either Djurgarden in his native Sweden or AHL Rockford. There's a good chance his North American playing days are over.

Oilers' Robin Norell: Acquired by Oilers
Norell and Brandon Manning were sent to Edmonton for Drake Caggiula and Jason Garrison, Mark Spector of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Norell is spending the season in the Swedish Hockey League, where he's posted just three assists in 27 games. From 2016-18, the 23-year-old appeared in 128 AHL contests, registering only 16 points. He's not exactly a premiere prospect and shouldn't be on the fantasy radar at this point.

Blackhawks' Robin Norell: Headed to homeland
The Blackhawks loaned Norell to Djurgarden IF of the Swedish Hockey League on Thursday.
The team's fourth-round pick in 2013, Norell has been ineffective offensively with AHL Rockford, posting just 18 points in 136 games. The 23-year-old has one more year worth $717,500 on his contract before he becomes a restricted free agent.
