Devils' Clowe (Concussion) To Retire
Clowe (concussion) will be forced to retire due to risks stemming from his concussion history, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.There was already talk that Clowe's career was over, but this confirms it and clears up what will happen going forward with the winger. Gulitti reports that Clowe will stay on IR or LTIR, depending on the Devils' salary cap situation. Future Remains Unclear For Devils' Clowe
Clowe (concussion) said Monday that there was "nothing new to report" regarding his health, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.Clowe's season came to an end last November when he took a hit to the head from the Blues' David Backes, resulting in his fourth concussion in less than two years. Because of Clowe's multitude of head injuries, Devils GM Lou Lamoriello indicated that the left winger's playing career is likely over.
