Tyler Steenbergen: Cut loose by LA
Steenbergen wasn't qualified by the Kings, so he'll become an unrestricted free agent Wednesday, CapFriendly reports.
Steenbergen spent the entirety of the 2020-21 campaign with AHL Tucson, notching 13 points through 36 contests. The 2017 fifth-round pick may have to settle for an AHL-only deal if he wishes to remain in North America for the 2021-22 season.

Steenbergen was traded along with Brayden Burke in a minor-league deal for defenseman Cole Hults and forward Bokondji Imama.
