Stajan agreed to terms on a one-year contract with DEL club EHC Munchen on Wednesday.
In 1,003 NHL contests split between the Maple Leafs and Flames, Stajan racked up 146 goals, 267 assists and 526 PIM. The center was limited to just 68 games last year and failed to reach the 15-point mark for the first time in his career. The move overseas likely marks the end of the 2002 second-round pick's time in the NHL.

The veteran has provided a modest uptick in offense with two goals and an assist through his past six games, but Sunday's poor outing was more representative of how his season has gone. After all, among all forwards in the league with at least 500 minutes of ice time, Stajan's 0.59 points per hour rank third last. It's safe to continue fading him in all fantasy settings.

The lack of production shouldn't come as much of a surprise from the 32-year-old, as he found his way onto the scoresheet just 17 times in 80 games last year. At this point, those holding out for a return to his 55-point Maple Leaf days from 2009 would be best served forgetting about such things, as Stajan isn't likely to make many fantasy waves anytime soon given his downward career trajectory.

Not much of a fantasy factor these days, the 32-year-old now has a pair of points in four games to start the season. Stajan managed just 17 points across 80 contests in 2015-16 while averaging 12:42 of ice time and hardly shoots the puck (52 SOG last year), so anyone still clinging to hope for a return to his 57-point form from 2009-10 would be wise to move on.
