UFC Fight Night betting preview
Sean Strickland is a former UFC middleweight champion with 23 UFC fights from 2014-2025. Strickland is coming off the second-longest hiatus of his career, his longest being from October 2018 to October 2020 after a motorcycle crash. Strickland (29-7) hasn't fought since his decision loss to Dricus Du Plessis for the middleweight championship at UFC 312 in February 2025, partly due to a six-month suspension for entering the octagon and throwing punches at the conclusion of a fight he was working the corner for.
Strickland, 34, is the No. 3-ranked middleweight and looks to re-enter the championship conversation, as three of his last four fights have involved the belt. Strickland takes on Anthony Hernandez, 32, who is ranked fourth in the division and has won eight straight fights. Hernandez is a versatile fighter who can win in a variety of ways. Of his last eight wins, four are by submission, two by KO/TKO and two via decision. Hernandez enters at 17-2 as a professional, including 9-2 in the UFC. Meanwhile, 16 of Strickland's 23 UFC fights have ended by decision.
For UFC betting on Paramount+, Hernandez is a -270 favorite, while Strickland is a +220 underdog in the latest UFC odds at DraftKings.
