Women's basketball transfer portal tracker: Addy Brown joins the champs at UCLA, Audi Crooks to Oklahoma State

While there is still plenty of roster movement happening all over the country, the top 25 players in the transfer portal have officially found a new home with former Penn State guard Kiyomi McMiller announcing her commitment to Florida on Monday. A few days earlier, NCAA Tournament champions UCLA got a strong boost with the addition of former Iowa State forward Addy Brown. Her former teammate, and the No. 1 player in the transfer portal, Audi Crooks is staying in the Big 12 Conference with her commitment to Oklahoma State. 

Their Iowa State co-star Jada Williams committed to Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers. The Cyclones are one of several high-profile teams to see major roster turnover due to players leaving in the portal; Tennessee coach Kim Caldwell saw every single player from the 2025-26 roster either graduate or enter the transfer portal. A more unexpected roster turnover happened at Texas, a program fresh off two consecutive Final Four appearances. 

While many players found new homes, others decided to withdraw their names and stay at their original schools, most notably Kymora Johnson. The Cavaliers star led her team to the Sweet 16 as a No. 10 seed last month, but put her name in the portal after Virginia unexpectedly fired head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton after the season. Though Johnson was highly sought-after in the portal, even having a visit at South Carolina, it seems like the hiring of Richmond's Aaron Roussell as the new head coach was enough to entice Johnson back to Charlottesville, where she grew up.

Liv McGill, No. 2 in our transfer portal rankings, made a somewhat surprising move from Florida to Oklahoma State, where she'll join Crooks. McGill, a great combination of scoring and playmaking, averaged 22.5 points and 6.3 assists last season. As a sophomore, she led the nation with 20.8 pick-and-roll possessions per game with a 54.6% frequency. This is a skill Oklahoma State coach Jacie Hoyt certainly appreciates, as the Cowgirls were 14th in the country in pick-and-roll frequency (32.8%) and seventh in pick-and-roll possessions per game (27.5) last season.

Among other commitments, former Tennessee guard Talaysia Cooper is headed to Ole Miss, former Georgia guard Dani Carnegie is headed to Iowa, former Texas guard Jordan Lee is headed to South Carolina and former NC State guard Zamareya Jones is headed to Louisville.

Elsewhere, Aaliyah Crump made the move from Texas to Duke. Besides the top 25 players, we also made a list of notable freshmen who have announced commitments, including former Tennessee guard Deniya Prawl to Louisville and former LSU guard Bella Hines to TCU. Mark Campbell has wasted no time, as Hines is the fifth player to join the Horned Frogs via transfer portal, along with Lara Somfai from Stanford, Lanie Grant from North Carolina, Avery Hjelmstad from Utah and Jadyn Wooten from Oklahoma State. Elina Aarnisalo, who started her career at UCLA and will be rejoining the Bruins after spending one season at North Carolina.

In addition to No. 11 Aaliyah Crump, 10 other freshmen in the portal were top 25 recruits coming into last season, according to 247Sports. Whether due to injury, inexperience, roster congestion, or some combination of all three, the majority did not have significant or consistent roles last season.
