Dodgers' Kyle Tucker: Likely to bat second or third
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Tucker is likely to bat second or third this season, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Roberts made the declaration during a press conference where the Dodgers officially announced the signing of Tucker to a four-year, $240 million contract. The skipper cautioned that his lineup isn't set in stone, but for the time being Roberts is leaning toward Tucker in the two or three hole. Tucker will take over in right field for the Dodgers, with Teoscar Hernandez shifting over to left field and Andy Pages patrolling center.

Dodgers' Michael Siani: Cut from 40-man roster
The Dodgers designated Siani for assignment Wednesday.
With the Dodgers' signing of Kyle Tucker becoming official, a spot on the 40-man roster was needed. Siani had been a waiver claim of the Dodgers in December -- the second time this winter he's been claimed -- and he will now go through the waivers process again. The 26-year-old is a career .221/.277/.270 hitter at the big-league level, but his excellent center-field defense could be enough to pique interest from other teams.

Dodgers' Ryan Fitzgerald: Outrighted to OKC
Fitzgerald cleared waivers Tuesday and was sent outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Fitzgerald was booted off the Dodgers' 40-man roster last Tuesday, but he will officially remain with the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed. The 31-year-old infielder made his MLB debut last year and slashed .196/.302/.457 with four homers in 24 games with the Twins. He'll likely spend the vast majority of 2026 in Triple-A.

Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Will retire after contract runs out
Betts said on the "What Drives You with John Cena" podcast that he will retire when he contract runs out following the 2032 season, Brent Maguire of MLB.com reports.
Betts will be 40 years old following the conclusion of his 12-year, $365 million contract, so it's unsurprising to hear he plans to hang up his cleats at that point. The 33-year-old is coming off a down 2025 campaign offensively, having slashed .258/.326/.406 with 20 home runs over 150 regular-season contests. However, Betts thrived defensively in his first season as a full-time shortstop, finishing with a plus-6 Outs Above Average, per Baseball Savant.

Dodgers' Nick Robertson: Back with Dodgers on MiLB deal
The Dodgers signed Robertson to a minor-league contract Friday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.
Robertson was drafted by the Dodgers and reached the majors with them in 2023 before bouncing around with a few different organizations since then. The 27-year-old spent all of 2025 at the Triple-A level between the Astros' and Royals' affiliates, holding a 4.30 ERA and 52:30 K:BB over 52.1 frames. Robertson is likely ticketed for the bullpen at Triple-A Oklahoma City to begin the 2026 campaign.

Dodgers' Kyle Tucker: Headed to LA
Tucker agreed to a four-year, $240 million contract with the Dodgers on Thursday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
The Dodgers continue to add to their loaded lineup, with Tucker marking their second significant signing of the offseason. The move should also help his counting-stat potential, as Tucker will undoubtedly hit close in proximity in the order to Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman. The signing also seems likely to result in Tommy Edman (ankle) primarily playing second base.
