  • Predators' Ryan O'Reilly: Sparks comeback win in Florida

O'Reilly produced a goal and an assist in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over the Panthers.

With the Predators down 1-0 midway through the third period, the veteran center banged a puck past Sergei Bobrovsky from in close to tie it. O'Reilly then got the puck back to Steven Stamkos on the rush with less than a minute left in OT for the winner. O'Reilly has three multi-point performances in the last five games, a stretch in which he's popped for three goals and eight points -- double his production from the prior 12 contests (one goal, four points).

  • Predators' Juuse Saros: Sharp in OT win

Saros made 30 saves in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over the Panthers.

Carter Verhaeghe got a puck past Saros late in the first period, but the veteran netminder shut down the Florida offense the rest of the way, giving Nashville a chance to finally solve Sergei Bobrovsky in the other crease. Saros has won three straight starts, allowing just five goals and 86 shots during that stretch to even his record on the season at 9-9-3 with a 2.86 GAA and .897 save percentage.

  • Predators' Ozzy Wiesblatt: Suffers upper-body injury

Wiesblatt won't return to Thursday's game against Florida because of an upper-body injury.

Wiesblatt logged just 15 seconds of ice time before exiting the game. If he can't play Saturday in Carolina, then Tyson Jost will probably draw into the lineup.

  • Predators' Justin Barron: Still out Thursday

Barron (lower body) won't play Thursday versus the Panthers, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Barron remains out on a day-to-day basis with the injury. It's unclear if he'll get back into the lineup immediately once healthy, thanks to the strong play of Nick Blankenburg recently. The Predators face the Hurricanes on Saturday.

  • Predators' Nick Perbix: Out Thursday

Perbix (upper body) isn't available Thursday versus Florida, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Perbix has two goals and four points in 25 outings in 2025-26. He was also out of the lineup for Tuesday's 5-1 win over Calgary. Adam Wilsby is set to play in his second straight game due to Perbix's absence.

  • Predators' Michael McCarron: Set to return

McCarron (lower body) is expected to be in the lineup versus the Panthers on Thursday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

McCarron missed one game with the injury, but he's slated to be back in a third-line role. The 30-year-old provides more of a physical boost than a lift to the Predators' offense. Tyson Jost will exit the lineup to make room.

  • Predators' Juuse Saros: Set to face Florida

Saros is expected to start on the road against Florida on Thursday, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.

Saros has an 8-9-3 record, 2.97 GAA and .893 save percentage in 20 outings this season. He's won his past two starts while stopping 51 of 55 shots (.927 save percentage). The Panthers are in a five-way tie for 15th in goals per game with 3.00.

  • Predators' Matt Murray: Secures second shutout of season

Murray posted a 29-save shutout in AHL Milwaukee's 3-0 win over Iowa on Wednesday.

Murray has two shutouts this season, which he's opened by going 9-1-2 in 12 games. He's added a 1.98 GAA and a .936 save percentage. The Predators don't currently have a need for Murray at the NHL level, but he'll get the call if Juuse Saros or Justus Annunen get hurt.

  • Predators' Adam Wilsby: First point since return

Wilsby logged an assist, three hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Predators.

Wilsby has appeared in five of the Predators' nine games since he returned from a lower-body injury. He saw 20:07 of ice time Tuesday to help cover for the absence of Nick Perbix (upper body). Wilsby has just three assists with 16 shots on net, 12 PIM, seven hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 16 appearances this season. Once Nashville's blue line is back to full strength, he's likely to slip back into a part-time role.

  • Predators' Spencer Stastney: Posts helper Tuesday

Stastney logged an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Flames.

Stastney ended an eight-game point drought with the helper. The 25-year-old has played regularly in a bottom-four role this season, but he hasn't been the most consistent blueliner when it comes to offense. For the year, he's at seven points, 23 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating across a career-high 25 appearances.

  • Predators' Nicolas Hague: Bags pair of helpers

Hague notched two assists, two hits, two blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Flames.

The Predators had 13 skaters record a point, and Hague was one of two to get multiple points. He helped out on goals by Reid Schaefer and Jonathan Marchessault in this contest. Hague has earned three helpers and a plus-6 rating over his last four games, and he's at six points, 15 shots on net, 33 hits, 14 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 18 contests overall.

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Goal in return from injury

Marchessault (lower body) scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-1 win over Calgary.

Marchessault had missed the previous two games because of injury. He wired a wrist shot from the slot past Devin Cooley at 14:25 in the second period. Marchessault has struggled mightily this season. After delivering 56 points last season and 69 the campaign before, he has just five goals and three assists in 21 contests. At some point, Marchessault's game may take off, although his 10.6 shooting percentage isn't that far off his career 11.4, so his scuffles aren't about bad luck. At 34 (and soon 35 this month), his wheels will come off soon enough. This feels too soon, though.

  • Predators' Reid Schaefer: First NHL goal

Schaefer scored a goal Tuesday in a 5-1 victory over the Flames.

It was Schaefer's first NHL goal. He gave the Preds a 1-0 lead early in the first period when he stuffed in a rebound of a shot attempt by Fedor Svechkov. Schaefer debuted Nov. 28, and he has played three NHL games. He was drafted 32nd overall by Edmonton in the first round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

  • Predators' Ozzy Wiesblatt: Nets first NHL goal

Wiesblatt scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Flames.

It was his first NHL goal. Wiesblatt redirected a Michael Bunting pass past Devin Cooley late in the second period. Wiesblatt pointed to the sky after the goal to honor his late brother, Orca, who was killed in a car accident in September at 25 years old. Wiesblatt has 60 hits in 23 games, so he might help in deep leagues if you count that stat. But don't expect much offense from Wiesblatt -- he has one goal and three assists in 23 games this season.

  • Predators' Michael Bunting: Five points in last five games

Bunting had a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win over Calgary on Tuesday.

His goal came on a rebound off a deflection early in the third frame to make the score 5-0. Bunting has five points (two goals, three assists) and 13 shots in his last five games. Prior to that, the winger had 10 points in his first 21 points. We're not sure if this run is real, but Bunting may help you in the short term until the rust forms on him and the Preds again.

  • Predators' Steven Stamkos: Milestone point for sniper

Stamkos scored a goal Tuesday in a 5-1 win over Calgary.

It was Stammer's 1,200th NHL point. He's the 53rd player in NHL history and sixth active to reach the mark. The goal stood as the winner. It was Stamkos' 589th career goal, which pushes him closer to Jarri Kurri's 601 for the No. 21 spot on the all-time goal-scoring list.

  • Predators' Juuse Saros: Second straight win

Saros made 27 saves in a 5-1 win over the Flames on Tuesday.

It was his second straight win. Saros has scuffled since late October, going 4-7-1 since Oct. 28. Overall, he's 8-9-3, with a 2.97 GAA and an .893 save percentage. This Preds team is tough to play behind, and they sit in a tie for dead-last in the NHL with just 22 points.
