Valero Texas Open odds, best bets: Back Ludvig Aberg, Si Woo Kim, Sepp Straka, Sudarshan Yellamaraju
Golfers at TPC San Antonio this week have a chance to snag a last-minute ticket to The Masters, and we have your best bets

It's tune-up time for the 2026 Masters Tournament, and this week's Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio is the last chance for PGA Tour pros to earn a coveted spot in the first major of the season. Gary Woodland, who had an emotional victory at last week's Texas Children's Houston Open, is set to play on The Oak Course after his first triumph since having surgery for a brain tumor almost three years ago.
Other notable PGA Tour stars set to tee it up Thursday include Tommy Fleetwood, Ludvig Aberg, Russell Henley and former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama. In all, eight golfers ranked in the world's top 20 are set to compete in San Antonio, with No. 4 Fleetwood the highest-ranked player in the 2026 Valero Texas Open field.
Fleetwood is the +1400 top choice on DraftKings' 2026 Valero Texas Open odds board, followed by Aberg (+1550), Henley (+1800) and Robert MacIntyre (+1800). Jordan Spieth and Si Woo Kim are +1950, while Woodland is a +4900 long shot.

Best bets for Valero Texas Open for April 2-5
- Ludvig Aberg OR Si Woo Kim to win (+880)
- Sepp Straka to finish top 5 (+530)
- Sudarshan Yellamaraju to finish top 10 (+450)
Aberg or Kim to win
Aberg was awful in the final round at the Players, going 4 over par to finish four shots behind winner Cam Young. Still, he is a major threat to win any time he tees it up and in this diluted field, he is definitely among the ones to beat. He tied for fifth at TPC Sawgrass and was T-3 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He should come into this on dialed in and since I don't like betting on outright winners, I'm adding Kim to the mix for a better chance but a lower payout. Kim has four PGA Tour victories and while he has seen some speed bumps lately, he has three top-10 finishes this season. He is second on tour in strokes gained tee to green, so if he can make some putts, he will be right near the top.

Sepp Straka top-5 finish
He has finished in the top 20 in four of his past five outings, including top-10 finishes at the Players and Pebble Beach. This is just the type of event Straka can win, as the most elite players are taking the week off. The 32-year-old has four tour victories and has one top-five among his four top-25's in six outings this season. The Austrian is a mainstay in the top 20 in terms of strokes gained tee to green, and like many in this field, it will all come down to putting. Straka tied for second at Pebble Beach and his last outing was a T-8 at the Players, where he opened with 67 but couldn't duplicate that in later rounds.

Sudarshan Yellamaraju top-10 finish
You can't argue with results. Yellamaraju has been impressive, tying for sixth at Houston last week and finishing in the top five at the Players. This is a good tournament for a player to break through, with stern competition to keep the competitive fire raging but not so much talent that the leaderboard gets top-heavy. The 24-year-old from India has been gaining strokes on the greens and is 16th on tour in scoring average at 69.19. This won't be as pressure-packed as some events the young golfer will face, so he should be a true contender this week.
