BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) LaQuincy Rideau had 10 points, a career-high 12 rebounds, eight assists and four steals and Gardner-Webb snapped a two-game skid with a 70-59 win over Radford on Wednesday night.
David Efianayi scored 14 points and Liam O'Reilly 12, including three 3-pointers, for Gardner-Webb (15-13, 8-7 Big South Conference). D.J. Laster and Jamaal Robateau added 10 points apiece.
Robateau's layup gave the Bulldogs the lead for good during an 8-0 run that made it 25-19 with 7:55 left in the first half. Christian Lutete hit a 3 to pull Radford within two about a minute later, but Gardner-Webb scored 17 of the last 23 first-half points to take a 44-31 lead into the break.
The Bulldogs made just five second-half field goals - the last of which came with 6:28 to play - and Lutete's layup with 3:49 left trimmed Radford's deficit to 63-55 but the Highlanders missed their next five shots and Gardner-Webb hit 7 of 12 free throws from there to seal it.
Ed Polite Jr. had a season-high 25 points, on 10-of-15 shooting, and 11 rebounds for Radford (11-16, 6-9).
