BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) Austin Price scored a season-high 27 points, Tim Kempton had a double-double and Lehigh beat Colgate 77-72 in a Patriot League Tournament quarterfinal on Thursday night.
No. 3 seed Lehigh (19-11) has won five straight games, and plays at No. 2 seed Boston University (18-13) in a semifinal game on Sunday. Sixth-seeded Colgate (10-22) has lost five of its last six.
Price was one point shy of his career best, hitting 8 of 15 from the floor and four 3-pointers. Kempton had 20 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high five blocked shots.
Will Rayman scored 20 points to lead Colgate. Tom Rivard and Sean O'Brien added 15 apiece.
The Mountain Hawks used an 18-7 run to pull away for a 69-60 lead with about four minutes left. Price scored seven points during the stretch. Kyle Leufroy scored 11 points, including 6 of 6 from the line in the final minute for Lehigh.
