TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Jamir Watkins scored 19 points and Florida State had six players score in double figures as the Seminoles rolled to a 94-67 win over Central Michigan in the opening-round campus game of the Sunshine Slam tournament on Monday night.

In the first meeting between the schools on the hardwood, Florida State took a 13-1 lead and the Chippewas never got within single digits.

The Seminoles (2-0) collectively shot 35 of 63 from the field (55.6%), including 12 of 28 from long distance (42.9%), and collected 23 assists on their 35 baskets. They also had 13 steals.

Four of Florida State's starters scored in double figures. Darin Green Jr. had 16 points, Baba Miller 11 and Cam Corhen 10. Josh Nickelberry scored 12 points off the bench and Cam'Ron Fletcher chipped in another 10.

The Chippewas shot 52.3% against a Power 5 opponent but were held to 19 fewer shots than Florida State (23 of 44) and shot just 4 of 19 from long range.

Anthony Pritchard had 16 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished five assists to lead Central Michigan. Brian Taylor scored 15 points and Paul McMillan IV added 12 points off the bench.

The Seminoles next game is at Florida on Friday. Florida State will play UNLV on November 20 in the first of two semifinals in the Sunshine Slam Beach Division at Daytona Beach, Florida.

Central Michigan will play at South Florida on Wednesday.
