KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) Seth Hubbard scored 27 points, B. Artis White had 23 points and Javonte Brown added 20 as Western Michigan beat Aquinas (Mich.) 127-71 on Friday night to end a five-game losing streak.
Western Michigan set single-game records for total points (127), 3-pointers (18) and assists (34). The Broncos were 18 of 30 (60%) from distance, with seven from White and six by Hubbard. White also had a game-high eight assists.
Jefferson De La Cruz Monegro added 17 points, Anthony Crump had 14 and Ja’Vaughn Hannah 13 for the Broncos (3-9).
Western Michigan scored a season-high 68 points in the first half on 77% shooting. Brown scored 19 ponts in the first half on 9-of-9 shooting and Hubbard added 17, while making 5 of 7 3-pointers.
Devon Boyd led the Saints in scoring, finishing with 16 points and four assists. DeAndre Francis added 15 points for Aquinas (MI). Jared Lary also had 12 points.
Western Michigan visits Miami (Ohio) in its next matchup on Tuesday.
