Myers' 21 help Western Illinois beat SIU-Edwardsville 78-70
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) Ryan Myers had 21 points in Western Illinois' 78-70 victory against SIU-Edwardsville on Sunday night.
Myers had six assists and three steals for the Leathernecks (8-6, 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference). Jesiah West scored 15 points while going 7 of 9 and 1 of 3 from the free-throw line, and added 10 rebounds. Quinlan Bennett shot 6 of 10 from the field to finish with 12 points.
The Cougars (8-7, 1-1) were led by Shamar Wright, who posted 21 points and five steals. Ray'Sean Taylor added 16 points for SIU-Edwardsville. In addition, Damarco Minor finished with nine points, seven rebounds and six assists.
