Lowe, Williams put up 18, William & Mary beats Elon 77-70 in CAA opener

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) Chase Lowe and Charlie Williams had 18 points apiece in William & Mary's 77-70 win over Elon on Thursday night as the teams opened Coastal Athletic Association play.

Lowe also contributed 12 rebounds for the Tribe (6-8). Williams went 7 of 10 (2 for 3 from 3-point range), and had seven rebounds. Gabe Dorsey shot 4 for 7 (3 for 6 from 3-point range) and 2 of 3 from the free throw line to finish with 13 points.

Rob Higgins led the way for the Phoenix (7-7) with 19 points and two steals. Max Mackinnon added 14 points and six rebounds for Elon. Nick Dorn also put up 13 points and two steals.
