UTEP defeats Chicago State 74-69
EL PASO, Texas (AP) Tae Hardy scored 13 points as UTEP beat Chicago State 74-69 on Sunday.
Hardy shot 4 for 9, including 3 for 3 from beyond the arc for the Miners (9-7). Corey Camper Jr. scored 11 points, going 4 of 6 and 3 of 6 from the free-throw line. Trey Horton shot 4 for 6, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points.
The Cougars (7-15) were led by Jahsean Corbett, who recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds. Chicago State also got 18 points, six rebounds, two steals and four blocks from Noble Crawford. In addition, Brent Davis finished with eight points and four steals. The Cougars extended their losing streak to six straight.
