FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Jameer Nelson Jr., Emanuel Miller and Trevian Tennyson all finished with 14 points and TCU breezed to an 81-65 victory over West Virginia on Monday night.

Jamie Dixon notched his 156th victory as coach of the Horned Frogs (17-7, 6-5 Big 12 Conference), moving into a second-place tie with Billy Tubbs (1994-2002) on the school's all-time list. Buster Brennan won 205 games from 1948-67.

Nelson made 5 of 8 shots with a 3-pointer for TCU. He grabbed five rebounds, blocked four shots and had three steals. Miller sank half of his 10 shots, adding four rebounds and four assists. Tennyson hit 4 of 8 attempts from 3-point range. Jakobe Coles pitched in with 11 points and five rebounds off the bench.

Raequan Battle led the Mountaineers (8-16, 3-8) with 21 points. Quinn Slazinski totaled 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Kerr Kriisa made three 3-pointers and scored 13. West Virginia, which falls to 0-6 on the road this season, turned the ball over 19 times and the Horned Frogs turned them into 26 points.

Nelson had 12 points and Miller scored 10 to help TCU take a 47-35 lead into halftime. West Virginia jumped out to a 10-5 lead, but Miller had a three-point play in a 9-0 run and the Horned Frogs led the rest of the way. Battle had 15 first-half points for the Mountaineers.

Slazinski sank a 3-pointer 4:30 into the second half to get West Virginia within 56-47. Miller answered with a basket and TCU led by double digits the rest of the way.

Dixon has a 156-104 record in his eighth season with TCU. Brannon went 205-259 during his tenure. Tubbs posted a 156-95 mark.

The Mountaineers lead the all-time series 18-6. They have split 12 games in Fort Worth.

TCU visits Kansas State on Saturday. West Virginia plays host to No. 12 Baylor on Saturday.
