2026 SEC Tournament scores, results, bracket: Arkansas outlasts Vanderbilt to take home conference ccrown
The Razorbacks completed an impressive run through the SEC Tournament with a victory over the Commodores on Sunday.
No. 3 seed Arkansas captured its first SEC title since 2000 with a 86-75 win over No. 4 seed Vanderbilt on Sunday in the 2026 SEC Tournament title game. Arkansas coach John Calipari won his first SEC title since 2018, when he was with Kentucky.
The Razorbacks won three games in three days with wins over Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt to capture the title. Arkansas will head into Selection Sunday with a 26-8 record.
The star of the show was Arkansas star guard Darius Acuff Jr. The SEC Player of the Year finished with 30 points and 11 assists after a slow start. Arkansas guard DJ Wagner, who followed Calipari from Kentucky to Arkansas in 2024, provided valuable minutes off the bench and finished with 11 points.
After taking a six-point lead, Vandy proceeded to go over seven minutes without a field goal. That was the difference.
Vanderbilt advanced to the title game after shocking Florida on Saturday.
