DeJon Jarreau: Hits free agency
Jarreau became a free agent Saturday after his second 10-day contract with the Grizzlies expired, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
The Grizzlies could retain Jarreau by signing him to a rest-of-season deal and waiving another player, but the team doesn't seem to be looking to go that route, as Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Friday that Memphis will bring Zavier Simpson aboard on a 10-day deal to fill the vacant spot on the 15-man roster. Assuming Jarreau isn't re-signed prior to the Grizzlies' game Saturday versus the Magic, he'll likely link back up with the organization's G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, with whom he had been playing before signing a pair of 10-day deals. During his time at the NBA level, Jarreau appeared in nine games for the Grizzlies and averaged 4.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 16.7 minutes.

Grizzlies' DeJon Jarreau: Gets second 10-day deal
Jarreau agreed to a second 10-day hardship contract with the Grizzlies on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Grizzlies continue to be hit hard by injuries, so even though the team already has a full 15-man roster, Jarreau will be able to stick around on another 10-day deal after the NBA granted Memphis a hardship exemption. Over the course of his first 10-day pact, Jarreau appeared in five games and averaged 5.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 17.6 minutes while shooting 33.3 percent from the field.

Grizzlies' DeJon Jarreau: Plays well in debut
Jarreau finished Sunday's 124-93 loss to the Thunder with seven points (3-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt), 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals in 28 minutes.
This was quite the debut for Jarreau, who signed a 10-day hardship contract with the Grizzlies on Saturday. Considering how many injuries the Grizzlies currently have, fantasy managers may want to throw Jarreau on their watch lists in case he can build on this momentum.

Grizzlies' DeJon Jarreau: Joins Memphis on hardship contract
Jarreau agreed to a 10-day hardship contract with the Grizzlies on Saturday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
If Jarreau sees action with the injury-depleted Grizzlies during the course of his 10-day deal, it would mark his first NBA action since he appeared in one game for the Pacers during the 2021-22 season. The 26-year-old guard has spent the entire 2023-24 campaign in the G League with the Memphis Hustle and Capital City Go-Go, averaging 14.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 25.0 minutes per game over 36 appearances between the two affiliates.

DeJon Jarreau: Scores 14 off bench
Jarreau delivered 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 15 minutes off the bench in Friday's win over the Charge.
Jarreau is averaging 10.7 points per game on the season and most of that can be attributed to the fact that he's experiencing an uptick in his scoring figures of late. The former Houston standout has scored in double digits in four of his last five appearances.

DeJon Jarreau: Impressive off bench Friday
Jarreau recorded 20 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven assists, six rebounds and a steal across 27 minutes off the bench in Friday's win over Grand Rapids.
Jarreau had what could easily be qualified as his best performance of the season in this one. However, he's not likely to deliver these kinds of numbers -- particularly from a scoring perspective -- on a regular basis going forward, especially if he keeps coming off the bench.

DeJon Jarreau: Fills stat sheet in loss
Jarreau recorded seven points (3-5 FG, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal across 18 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's loss to College Park.
Jarreau didn't offer a lot in the scoring column, but he compensated with a strong all-around performance -- especially considering the minimal time he was on the court. He should remain a capable second-unit piece for the Go-Go even if he's not going to deliver eye-popping stat lines on a regular basis.

Jarreau registered 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and a block across 28 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's loss against Westchester.
Jarreau is not considered one of the Go-Go's main contributors, but he certainly made his presence felt in this one. That said, he needs to be more consistent in order to gain a bigger role in the rotation.

Jarreau totaled 18 points (6-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 31 minutes during Friday's 126-121 triumph over Santa Cruz.
The Houston product began his season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants but now finds himself with the Texas Legends as the G League season has picked back up.
