Wizards' Kyshawn George: To be re-evaluated in three weeks

The Wizards announced Wednesday that George has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the UCL in his left elbow and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
George sustained the injury in Monday's loss to Houston and won't return until late March at the very earliest. With the Wizards sitting at 16-45 on the season, it wouldn't be surprising to see the club exercise extreme caution with the second-year wing for the remainder of the season. With George sidelined, Will Riley, Jamir Watkins (ankle) and Justin Champagnie are candidates for increased minutes.

George logged fewer than 25 minutes for the fifth time in his past six appearances, raising some doubt as to his overall fantasy appeal. Despite putting together what could be considered a breakout campaign, it appears as though George's playing time could be limited for the run home. For now, he warrants a roster spot in most leagues. However, managers will want to keep an eye on his minutes moving forward, as he could eventually become a disposable asset.
George registered 17 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 138-113 loss to the Cavaliers.
George tallied double digits for the second straight game, although his playing time remains underwhelming. With Washington clearly shifting into tank mode, it appears as though George is not only going to miss games moving forward, but his playing time could be limited on most nights. While he does remain a must-roster player, managers are going to have to be prepared for some uncertainty.
George (ankle) will play Wednesday against the Cavaliers.
Both George and Bilal Coulibaly (heel) will shake off questionable tags for this contest. George has been quiet in his six most recent outings with 12.2 points, 3.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 1.3 three-pointers in 24.1 minutes per game.
