Magic's Izaiyah Nelson: To undergo surgery
The Magic announced Monday that Nelson will undergo surgery to repair a fracture in his left ankle, and he's expected to return to basketball activities in 3-4 months.
Nelson sustained the fracture during Sunday's Summer League win over Portland and is now in danger of missing the start of the 2026-27 campaign. The No. 51 overall pick in this year's draft signed a two-way contract with the Magic and isn't expected to have a consistent role with the parent club once he returns.

Magic's Colin Castleton: Scores 21 points in SL win
Castleton contributed 21 points (10-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block across 33 minutes in Sunday's 112-105 Summer League win over the Trail Blazers in overtime.
Castleton struggled from the charity stripe but was efficient from the field and finished as Orlando's second-leading scorer. The big man was also second on the team in rebounds. He's recorded at least 15 points and seven rebounds in back-to-back outings.

Magic's Lester Quinones: Drops 30 points in SL win
Quinones contributed 30 points (9-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and three steals across 29 minutes in Sunday's 112-105 Summer League win over the Trail Blazers in overtime.
Quinones was active on both ends of the floor and led all players with 30 points in this one. The 25-year-old guard turned in an efficient performance and got to the charity stripe often on offense. On the defensive end, Quinones grabbed a team-high eight boards while tying for second on the Magic in steals. He's scored in double figures in all three of his appearances this summer, tallying 15-plus in two of them.

Magic's Cam Reddish: Out Sunday
Reddish (undisclosed) won't play in Sunday's Summer League game against the Trail Blazers.
Reddish didn't play in Saturday's win over Miami and will miss the second leg of this back-to-back set as well. His next opportunity to play will come Wednesday against the 76ers.

Magic's Jase Richardson: Won't play Sunday
Richardson (undisclosed) will miss Sunday's Las Vegas Summer League game against the Trail Blazers.
Richardson will sit out the second leg of a Summer League back-to-back set, but he should return for Wednesday's meeting with the 76ers. TyTy Washington will draw the start in Richardson's absence Sunday, and there should be more minutes available for Keon Johnson.

Magic's Ricky Council: Available to play Sunday
Council (knee) is available for Sunday's Summer League game against the Trail Blazers.
Council didn't play against the Heat on Saturday due to a knee injury, but his absence from the injury report indicates he'll be available for Sunday's contest. He hasn't played since Jan. 7 in the G League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Magic's Noah Penda: Not playing Sunday
Penda (rest) won't play in Sunday's Summer League game against Portland.
Penda will be held out of the second leg of this back-to-back set. His next chance to play will come Wednesday against Philadelphia.

Magic's Jase Richardson: Scores 15 points in win
Richardson finished with 15 points (4-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds and six assists across 30 minutes in Saturday's 93-88 Summer League win over Miami.
Richardson scored 15 points in Thursday's 86-74 loss to Charlotte. While he wasn't more productive Saturday, he shot the ball well by going 3-for-5 from behind the arc. The 20-year-old had a quiet rookie campaign in 2025-26, averaging 4.4 points, 1.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.4 steals over 10.9 minutes in 54 regular-season appearances. Richardson will need to play well this summer, though that still may not improve his chances of earning a more prominent role with the Magic in 2026-27.

Magic's Noah Penda: Finishes with 12 points Saturday
Penda finished with 12 points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday's 93-88 Summer League win over Miami.
Penda scored 23 points and shot 5-for-10 from deep in Thursday's 86-74 Summer League loss to the Hornets. While the 2025 No. 32 overall pick wasn't efficient offensively and committed six turnovers, he at least remained productive on the defensive side of the ball. Penda played sparingly in his 59 regular-season appearances with Orlando during the 2025-26 campaign, though he averaged 7.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals while shooting 40.0 percent from behind the arc in two starts. He will likely continue to battle for minutes moving ahead. However, the door is open for Penda to receive more chances to start at some point in 2026-27, even if it takes an injury to a starter for that to happen.

Magic's Ricky Council: Doesn't play Saturday
Council (knee) didn't play in Saturday's 93-88 Summer League win over the Heat.
Council hasn't seen game action since the G League Rio Grande Valley Vipers' Jan. 7 loss to the Stockton Kings. His next chance to suit up will come Sunday against the Trail Blazers.

Magic's Jase Richardson: Scores 15 points in SL Loss
Richardson finished with 15 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals across 30 minutes in Thursday's 86-74 Summer League loss to the Hornets.
Richardson is coming off an uneventful 2025-26 campaign in which he averaged only 4.4 points, 1.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.4 steals over 10.9 minutes in 54 regular-season appearances. Even with injuries to some of the starters, the 20-year-old wasn't able to take advantage and mostly served as a depth piece. While Richardson looked good to begin Summer League play, he's still not guaranteed to seize a consistent role in the rotation even if he continues to play well in Las Vegas.

Magic's Noah Penda: Leads Magic in scoring Thursday
Penda finished with 23 points (9-15 FG, 5-10 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks across 30 minutes in Thursday's 86-74 Summer League loss to Charlotte.
Penda is coming off a quiet rookie season in which he didn't see consistent minutes off the bench. However, the 2025 No. 32 overall pick showed some flashes of promise by averaging 7.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals while shooting 40.0 percent from deep over 33.5 minutes in two regular-season starts. Although Penda has an excellent opportunity to showcase his talent during Summer League, it still may not help him land a stable role in the rotation during the 2026-27 campaign.

Magic's Colin Castleton: Signs two-way pact
Castleton signed a two-way contract with the Magic on Wednesday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports.
Castleton will return to Orlando after operating as a two-way player for the club last season. The 26-year-old big man appeared in just four regular-season games for the parent club and missed significant time with a fractured right hand. He figures to see the majority of his playing time with Orlando's G League affiliate, the Osceola Magic.

Magic's Izaiyah Nelson: Signs two-way deal with Orlando
Nelson agreed to a two-way contract with Orlando on Wednesday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports.
Nelson was selected by Washington with the No. 51 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and subsequently traded to Orlando. He began his collegiate career at Arkansas State before spending the 2025-26 campaign at South Florida. In 34 games, which included an NCAA Tournament loss to Louisville, the 22-year-old averaged 15.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.6 steals over 27.3 minutes. The Magic's roster is loaded, and while that doesn't necessarily mean Nelson won't see the floor for the parent club, he will likely spend most of his first season in the G League.

Magic's Wendell Carter: Increased competition at center
Carter's outlook becomes more uncertain following Orlando's acquisition of Nikola Vucevic.
While Carter has served as the Magic's starting center in recent seasons, Vucevic's return could cut into his playing time and potentially shift him into a reduced role depending on how Orlando structures its frontcourt rotation. Carter is likely to remain with the first unit, but his fantasy value may take a hit if the two centers split minutes consistently.

Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Returning to Orlando
Isaac (knee) will return to the Magic on a one-year deal, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports Wednesday.
The Magic waived Isaac on June 27, but there was always mutual interest in a return. Across 52 regular-season appearances during the 2025-26 campaign, Isaac produced averages of 2.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per contest before a left knee sprain sidelined him through the end of the season. He's likely going to be facing an uphill battle for playing time in 2026-27, even if he's healthy.

Magic's Jevon Carter: Staying in Orlando
Carter will sign a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Magic, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Wednesday.
Carter will be penciled in as the third-string point guard ahead of Opening Night, behind Jalen Suggs and Anthony Black. During the 2025-26 regular season, Carter appeared in 53 contests between the Bulls and Magic, posting averages of 6.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists.

Magic's Nikola Vucevic: Returning to Orlando
Vucevic will sign a one-year deal to join the Magic, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Wednesday.
Vucevic will head back to Orlando, where he previously played for nine total seasons. Vucevic will be 36 in October, and the Magic are almost certainly picturing him as their backup center behind Wendell Carter. In 64 total regular-season appearances between the Bulls and Celtics in 2025-26, Vucevic averaged 15.1 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
