Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Pours in 20 points from bench
Bagley contributed 20 points (9-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 25 minutes during Sunday's 140-112 loss to Memphis.
Although Bagley is back on the bench, his recent results have earned him more action in the rotation. His prospects sunk when the team signed Jonas Valanciunas and drafted Alexandre Sarr in the offseason, and it's easy to forget the splash Bagley made with the Kings in his rookie season. Injuries have been an issue for most of his career, but he's shown flashes of his former self as a healthy backup for the Wizards. He is in a tough spot on the depth chart behind Sarr, but Washington may eventually make major changes that could give Bagley more fantasy value.

Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Back to bench Saturday
Bagley is not in the Wizards' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Nuggets.
Bagley made his first start of the 2024-25 regular season Thursday against the Mavericks and finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and two steals over 24 minutes. Even with Alex Sarr (back) sidelined for Saturday's contest, Bagley will retreat to the bench while Jonas Valanciunas gets the start at center.

Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Effective in first start Thursday
Bagley produced 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt), eight rebounds and two steals across 24 minutes during Thursday's 137-101 loss to Dallas.
Making his first start of the season, Bagley co-led the team with 16 points and eight rebounds. Bagley has started 16 games for the Wizards dating back to last season, and he's been productive as a member of Washington's first unit with averages of 12.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.0 blocks in 26.5 minutes per contest while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor. It remains to be seen if coach Brian Keefe will keep Bagley in the starting lineup once Kyle Kuzma (ribs) returns to the fold, but fantasy managers should keep an eye on Bagley.

Bagley will make his first start of the season Thursday, as the Wizards will shake things up in the frontcourt once again by sending Jonas Valanciunas to the bench. Bagley is averaging just 5.4 minutes per game this season, but he should see a sizable uptick in playing time in this one.

Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Iffy for Friday

Bagley (illness) is available for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.

Bagley is questionable for Monday's game against the Warriors due to a non-COVID illness.
After playing 10 minutes in each of the first two games of the season, Bagley has played six or fewer minutes in three straight matchups. His potential absence would likely mean a few extra minutes for Richaun Holmes.

Bagley closed Saturday's 135-116 loss to the Cavaliers with nine points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds and one block across 10 minutes.
Bagley has played exactly 10 minutes off the bench in back-to-back games to start the season. He's totaled 17 points, 12 rebounds, an assist and a block. That's solid per-minute production, but Bagley finds himself firmly behind Alex Sarr and Jonas Valanciunas on the depth chart.

Alex Sarr will sit with calf soreness, giving Bagley the opportunity to enter the starting lineup. The 25-year-old is expected to compete for playing time off the bench with Richaun Holmes behind Jonas Valanciunas, but Bagley has yet to appear in more than 50 regular-season outings since his rookie season in 2018-19 (62 games).

Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Good to go during training camp
Bagley (knee) was a full participant during Tuesday's practice, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Bagley missed six straight games to end the 2023-24 regular season, but that was likely precautionary. The Duke product carved out a consistent role after a mid-season trade to Washington last year and produced enough to be fantasy-relevant. However, after the Wizards' offseason acquisition of Jonas Valanciunas, Bagley will be competing for backup frontcourt minutes with Alex Sarr, Richaun Holmes and Tristan Vukcevic.

Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Considered week-to-week
Wizards interim head coach Brian Keefe said Wednesday that Bagley (knee) is being viewed as week-to-week, Bijan Todd of Monumental Sports Network reports.
Bagley has already been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Lakers due to a right knee sprain, which he suffered in Tuesday's 117-113 win over the Bucks. Given that there are less than two weeks left in the regular season, Bagley's 2023-24 campaign is almost certainly over, but Washington may re-evaluate him at some point in the middle of next week before making an official call on his status. With Richaun Holmes (toe) joining Bagley in street clothes for at least Wednesday's game, Tristan Vukcevic and Eugene Omoruyi could take on most of the minutes at center.

Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Exits with sprained knee
Bagley (knee) finished Tuesday's 117-113 win over the Bucks with four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal in nine minutes.
After exiting Tuesday's contest with 7:59 remaining in the second quarter due to a right knee sprain, Bagley was unable to re-enter the game. In his absence, Tristan Vukcevic saw increased playing time. Bagley's next chance to suit up is Wednesday's matchup with the Lakers.
