Heat's Tyler Herro: Fills stat sheet in win
Herro notched 29 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 106-103 victory over Milwaukee.
Herro delivered far more than just an impressive scoring performance, as he filled the stat sheet admirably and ended just three dimes away from recording a double-double. It's been only two games since his return from a season-opening injury absence, but Herro has scored at least 24 points both times and didn't need time to quickly establish himself as a go-to option on offense for the Heat. In those two games, the star guard is shooting an impressive 21-for-33 from the floor, including 3-for-7 from three-point range.

Heat's Tyler Herro: Plans to play Monday
Herro (ankle) plans to make his season debut Monday against the Mavericks, barring a setback, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Herro has yet to play this season after undergoing surgery on his left ankle Sept. 19, but after ramping up in practice over the last few days, he's made enough progress to take the court for Miami. Considering the amount of time he has missed to begin the campaign, Herro is likely to be eased back into action over the coming games. Herro is coming off a 2024-25 campaign in which he received his first All-Star nod and averaged 23.9 points, 5.5 assists and 5.2 rebounds in 35.4 minutes per game across 77 regular-season appearances.

Heat's Tyler Herro: Nets 24 points in season debut
Herro (ankle) produced 24 points (12-18 FG, 0-2 3Pt), seven rebounds and three steals over 29 minutes during Monday's 106-102 win over the Mavericks.
Herro was excellent in his first game of the season, drilling 12 of his final 14 shots, which included a game-winner with under a minute to go in regulation. The Heat have only two more games in Week 6, but with neither coming as a back-to-back set, Herro should be available for both of them.

Heat's Tyler Herro: Targeting Monday
Herro (ankle) is targeting Monday's matchup with the Mavericks as a potential return date, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports.
Herro has been ramping up his workload at recent practices, and Monday will be one week removed from when Herro was quoted as saying he believed he was 1-to-2 weeks away. He'll likely be eased back into things, but he's slated for a massive year as one of the key cogs in Miami.

Heat's Tyler Herro: Expected back in 8-to-12 weeks
Herro (foot/ankle) said Monday that he's ahead of schedule in his recovery and expects to be back in 8-to-12 weeks, Wes Goldberg of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Herro underwent surgery Sept. 19 due to a left ankle/foot impingement that had reportedly been bothering him since the middle of the summer. He's trending in the right direction less than two weeks after surgery but will still require time to ramp up his strength and conditioning once cleared to resume basketball activities. Head coach Erik Spoelstra noted that the star guard is expected to return "sooner than later" and will likely aim to come back by mid-to-late November, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald. The 25-year-old is fresh off his first All-Star nod in 2024-25, when he averaged 23.9 points, 5.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 3.3 three-pointers across 35.4 minutes per game in 77 regular-season appearances.

Heat's Tyler Herro: Expected to miss eight weeks
Herro (foot/ankle) is expected to take eight weeks to recover after undergoing successful surgery Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Herro is coming off the best season of his NBA career, averaging career-high numbers in points (23.9), assists (5.5) and steals (0.9) while also shooting a career-best 47.2 percent from the field. The Kentucky product's absence will likely result in more playing time for Davion Mitchell and Kasparas Jakucionis in the backcourt to begin the 2025-26 campaign. Miami newcomer Norman Powell will probably be leaned on to pick up the slack offensively with the team's most talented scorer sidelined potentially until mid-November.
