Reid finished with 20 points (8-18 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds and seven assists across 33 minutes in Wednesday's 110-103 win over the Nets.
Reid appeared in his first game for the Hornets on Wednesday, and it didn't take him long to make a positive impression by narrowly missing a triple-double. The 27-year-old spent his entire career in Minnesota before being traded to Charlotte in the offseason. In 483 regular-season games with the Timberwolves, he averaged 11.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 37.1 percent from deep over 21.7 minutes per contest. Reid could be in line for his best campaign to date in 2026-27, and he might be even more productive than projected initially as long as Kon Knueppel (hamstring) and Coby White (ankle) are sidelined.

Hornets' Naz Reid: Remains solid in preseason play
Reid posted 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 24 minutes during Friday's 117-98 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Reid reached double figures in four preseason games, averaging 13.3 points over the span. Charlotte acquired the veteran big man from Minnesota in the June trade that sent LaMelo Ball to the Timberwolves, and he's expected to start at center for the regular season in a move that should benefit both teams.

Hornets' Naz Reid: Struggles with shot
Reid finished with 12 points (4-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and three assists across 26 minutes in Wednesday's 114-93 preseason loss to Boston.
Reid led Charlotte with six rebounds but couldn't find his shooting touch, converting just four of 14 attempts while missing five shots from beyond the arc. The versatile big man started alongside Moussa Diabate and continued to see opportunities on the perimeter, though his offensive efficiency will be worth monitoring as he settles into his role with the Hornets.

Hornets' Naz Reid: Drops 13 points in team-debut
Reid ended with 13 points (3-9 FG, 6-7 FT, 1-5 3Pt) and four rebounds in 16 minutes during Tuesday's 124-90 preseason loss to the Nets.
As expected, Reid slotted into the starting power forward position vacated by Miles Bridges, who is now loving life in Phoenix. Reid was one of three Hornets players to score double digits, an encouraging sign for anyone thinking of drafting him. While he should be a relatively consistent source of points and rebounds, Reid is going to have to add another string to his bow, should he hope to impress fantasy managers. At this point, Reid is a viable target in the middle rounds of drafts, with the possibility that he flirts with top 50 value if he can develop a more well-rounded game.
