PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) LaVell McCullers passed for 190 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 36 yards to help Prairie View beat Jackson State 38-9 on Saturday.

Jackson State notched a field goal on its opening drive and then the Panthers (2-2, 2-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference) scored 38 straight, taking the lead for good at 7-3 in the middle of the first quarter on McCullers' 22-yard pass to Khadarel Hodge.

The Tigers (0-5, 0-3) capped the scoring with 1:07 left in the game on DeShawn Tillman's 19-yard TD pass to Jevon Floyd.

Dawonya Tucker ran 12 times for 64 yards and a touchdown and Markcus Handy had two catches for 84 yards and a score for the Panthers.

Prairie View outgained Jackson State 439-225 in total offense and had a 5-1 edge in turnovers. The Tigers fumbled four times and failed to recover any of them.
