Former Hurricanes QBs George Mira and Vinny Testaverde are on the 2012 football bowl subdivision ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. Mira played at Miami from 1961-1963. He was a named a first-team All-American in 1962. Testaverde was at Miami from 1982-1986. He won the Heisman Trophy, Walter Camp Award, Maxwell Award and Davey O'Brien Award in 1986 and led the 'Canes to three bowl games.
