Arizona State (5-3, 3-2 Pac-12) at No. 11 Oregon State  (6-1, 4-1 Pac-12)

Kickoff: Saturday, 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2)

Spread: Oregon State by 4.5

Watchability: If things had gone a bit differently last weekend, this game could've stolen some luster from USC-Oregon. Altough the Sun Devils and Beavers should still prove a good matchup, the stakes are lower after both suffered close losses last week.

Shining stars: Arizona State -- LB Brandon Magee. Magee has sacks in three consecutive games. He ranks fourth in the conference with 8.29 tackles per game, and against a Beaver team that utilizes the middle of the field well, Magee's play will be critical. Oregon State -- WR Brandin Cooks. Cooks may not be QB Cody Vaz's favorite target -- he had one catch for eight yards against Utah in Week 7 -- but he had nine catches for 123 yards and a score last week against Washington. That was primatily thanks to QB Sean Mannion. Vaz is back as the starter, so we'll see if they're singing Kumbaya.

Who could steal the show: Arizona State -- RB Marion Grice. The junior college product has become a scoring machine for the Sun Devils. He has four multi-touchdown games this year, including another three-TD performance in the loss to UCLA. He has 12 TDs this season, which ranks third in the conference. Oregon State -- LB Michael Doctor. Doctor has been an impact player in consecutive weeks, and in different ways. Two weeks ago, it was with an interception; against the Huskies, Docter had nine tackles including two for loss.

You going? Ranking the road trip: The Beavers' unbeaten streak may be in the past, but the faithful should come out in droves. A pretty good matchup. Take the trip.

Magic number for Arizona State: 173.63. The Sun Devils have been much improved defensively, but teams are still rushing for more than 170 yards per game, ranking ASU's run defense 81st in the country. 

Magic number for Oregon State: 17. The Beavers' defense has been incredibly stout, surrendering 17 points per game, which ranks 12th in the country and helps to offset an offense ranked 84th in scoring.

The game comes down to: Vaz's accuracy and Oregon State's ability to hit the big play. Arizona State is most beatable when the opposition is attacking, as they've been the past two weeks when the Sun Devils allowed 88 points. The Sun Devils are hoping they'll get some reinforcements this weekend with DT Will Sutton (knee) and DE Junior Onyeali (shoulder) hoping to play.

Prediction: Oregon State 33, Arizona State 29
