- Michigan coach Brady Hoke has lasting memories of his father, who played for Woody Hayes at Miami (OH), reported Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press.
- Indianacoach Kevin Wilson defended his program at media days, regardless of last season’s record, wrote Terry Hutchens of the Indianapolis Star.
