Paul Dee, the one-time university's general counsel and former athletic director, has died, university officials announced. Dee served as AD at Miami from 1993-2008. During his tenure, Dee oversaw Miami's move to ACC from the Big East, the 'Canes move to Sun Life Stadium from the Orange Bowl and the building of an on-campus basketball arena. While no cause of death has been released, Dee had battled heart problems and tongue cancer in recent years. Dee was 65.
