Two high-profile college quarterbacks in the state of Florida are taking action to raise funds for those impacted by Hurricane Milton. Florida's DJ Lagway and Miami's Cam Ward have released limited edition trading cards with proceeds benifitting victims of the storm.
On Wednesday night, Hurricane Milton made landfall on central Florida's west coast as a Category 3 storm and produced winds up to 120 mph. The hurricane ripped through Tampa before weakening as it made its way across the state. The extent of the damage is still unknown as high winds and flooding wreaked havoc across the region.
In the wake of the catastrophe, Lagway and Ward are using NIL as a tool to help those in need. Each player has released a special edition "Hurricane Milton Relief" trading card through Leaf, and all proceeds will go toward the recovery efforts in Florida. Both cards are priced at $9.99.
