The NCAA transfer portal cycle for the 2025 college football season officially opened Monday, Dec. 9 and will close on Saturday, Dec. 28. Though some players have announced their intentions to transfer prior to Monday, they could not officially enter the portal until it opened.

Given that thousands of FBS players enter the portal each cycle and NIL has become a differentiating factor in player acquisition, expect to see plenty of movement this offseason in what has become one of the most important periods on the college football calendar.

In addition to the notable transfer players that will be listed below as the process continues over the next month, keep it locked here as CBS Sports and 247Sports cover the transfer portal window from top to bottom with a live tracker, updated rankings and much more. Latest transfer portal intel

Happy Friday! As we have done nearly every morning this week, my colleague Chris Hummer and I are sharing the latest news on high-level transfers at 247Sports, where subscribers can stay up to date. Here's a sneak peek from today's article, which mostly touches on quarterbacks and wide receivers

BARION BROWN, KENTUCKY WR

247Sports rank: No. 15 overall, No. 7 WR

LSU appears to be in great shape with Barion Brown coming out of his visit to the Tigers. In addition to posting 1,723 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense for Kentucky the last three years, Brown also has five career kick return touchdowns.

KAIDON SALTER, LIBERTY QB

247Sports rank: No. 66 overall, No. 8 QB

Kaidon Salter is set to visit Colorado on Monday and Tuesday of next week, per a source. Salter, who is visiting Syracuse this weekend, has career totals of 5,887 passing yards, 2,013 rushing yards and 77 total touchdowns. Colorado will lose Shedeur Sanders to the NFL and has a Top247 incoming QB in Julien Lewis, but the Buffaloes would like a talented bridge starter for 2025.

J. MICHAEL STURDIVANT, UCLA WR

247Sports rank: No. 69 overall, No. 18 WR

Florida is expected to host J.Michael Sturdivant this weekend for a visit, per sources. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Texas native has 1,667 yards and 13 touchdowns in his career. There's a lot of optimism from both camps about the fit between the two sides.
