Coming into the 2012 season the Oregon Ducks had two starters remaining from the team that lost to Auburn in the BCS Championship Game two seasons ago: safety John Boyett and guard Carson York.
Today they have neither.
After confirming that Boyett would miss the rest of the season after tearing the patellar tendon in both his knees, York confirmed on Monday afternoon that he would miss the rest of the season as well.
York said he'll have surgery on Tuesday to repair a broken kneecap in his right knee. It's the same knee York injured during Oregon's Rose Bowl victory over
York started 36 games for the Ducks since 2009. He was listed on both the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy watch lists for 2012.
