Pac-12: Players whose NFL Draft stock is rising, falling

Two UCLA players helped themselves in the Bruins' big, Week 1 win.

It's never too early to start talking about the 2013 NFL Draft. Here are three Pac-12 players who helped their draft stock and three who hurt their draft stock in Week 1.

3 on the rise

WR Robert Woods, USC: Woods only caught six passes in the Trojans' 49-10 win over Hawaii on Saturday, but he made those catches count. The junior hauled in two touchdowns, including a 20-yarder in the first quarter. Woods is widely thought to be one of the top-three receiving prospects going into the 2013 Draft. DE Datone Jones, UCLA: The senior had two sacks and six tackles, including four solo against Rice on Thursday. Jones' two sacks is the third-highest total nationally. Jones sits right outside of CBSSports.com's top 100 draft prospects -- he's ranked 110. If he puts up similar numbers against Nebraska on Saturday, he could see his stock shoot way up. RB Johnathan Franklin, UCLA: A quick way to get your draft stock to rise is to rush for 215 yards and three touchdowns in your team's season opener. That's what UCLA senior Franklin did. Franklin's projected to go in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, but if he proves to be as durable and strong all season as he was against Rice, he could work his way to the middle of the draft. 3 who are falling

LB Shayne Skov, Stanford: Skov didn't hurt his draft stock with a bad game against San Jose State, Skov hurt his draft stock because he didn't play against San Jose State. The linebacker had to sit out Stanford's Week 1 game as punishment for a DUI in February. DUI arrests are generally red flags for NFL teams looking to draft high-character players. DL Aaron Tipoti, Cal: After one week, the Bears are tied for tops in the nation in tackles for a loss. Cal had 12 tackles for loss in Saturday's 31-24 loss to Nevada, but Tipoti had none. That stat combined with Nevada's offense having its way with Cal's front seven has Tipoti's stock falling. The Wolfpack had 450 yards against the Bears -- 230 passing, 220 rushing. P Jackson Rice, Oregon: Rice didn't damage his stock too much in the Ducks' 57-34 win over Arkansas State on Saturday, but he didn't help it. Rice, who is CBSSports.com's third highest-rated punting prospect, only punted twice in the game, but neither were great. The senior had punts of 16 and 39 yards against the Red Wolves, not great numbers from a guy who averaged 45.9 yards per punt in 2011.
